They discuss moving from complete abstinence from alcohol to intentionally using it sometimes to cope, self-medicate and/or have fun.   They discuss how harm reduction is extremely personal. What works for me may not work for you. Blaming substances for problems in their relationships didn’t do anything to improve those relationships or their quality of life. The problem isn’t substances, it’s our traumatizing society.   Morgan shares several misconceptions they held about alcohol and how they feel about them now, including: it’s not us , it’s alcohol.

As we move through March 2021, the cycle that began in March 2020 closes its loop and we look at everything that’s changed and everything that has stayed the same in the last year.     In this episode, I discuss how the past year has ripped away many illusions from myself and my community surrounding the work that is necessary here on planet earth. So many of us are coming to reckon with our true limitations, histories and the way that white supremacy has been living unchecked inside our homes, in our relationships and in our most personal moments. This is not comfortable, so I’ve come to offer messages of comfort and peace.    I felt extremely called on Friday morning to channel a message building off what was shared in my stories yesterday: Right now, we have the opportunity to trust and have faith that this is a Universe based in justice, healing and pleasure.     Some of the messages that came through:  -The invitation to confront our collective shame around optimism and hope  -Realizing that we are still living, that our souls live on, and that we have choices left to make on this planet. It’s not over.  -What happens when we make our decisions with an assumption that humans are lovable and that the Earth cannot be controlled?  -Healing from our 400 year period of injustice, forced control and codependency otherwise known as colonialism    I offer these messages as an antidote to the shame, polarized thought and bigotry we see so commonly on this and all social media platforms.
