QL is ok but it’s no QLP
I have a lot of issues with QL. I find the original to be cheesy and usually badly written, in line with the standards of early 90s TV. (But there are great episodes!) The new show is boring and entirely badly written, because it’s cheap network TV. I think it’s funny that Allison found the reboot so bad that she had to temporarily leave the podcast to avoid bumming out the fans. That being said, I enjoy this podcast and the back and forth between the hosts. To sum up: I like the pod more than the show!

I'm not "playing" dress-up
I listen for the banter but dislike the interviews.
Please stop making episodes of compilations of the interviews.

Funny and informative
I really adore this podcast. I find myself laughing out loud all the time at their gentle ribbing of the show. They have a super interesting facts about production and great interviews with guest stars and writers and even Scott Bakula himself. This is a must for any QL fan.

Thank you, QLP presenters and staff for providing such great entertainment! Allison, Matt, and Chris all bring their own interesting perspectives and you can really see how much they love the show. To be honest, I had never really watched QL before listening to the QLP and arrived here from Allison's youtube channel. The only thing I knew about the show was that it was on the TV in the hospital where my mom was waiting to give birth to me (I have found out that it was the premiere of "All Americans"). However, as I am making my way through Seasons 3, 4, & 5, I can now say that I love the show. Ultimately, I just want to say thank you to the QLP people for providing me with more entertainment during this rather lonely pandemic year. It's great to watch a TV show that has so much heart and is so optimistic and it's wonderful to hear 3 people speak so openly about their love of something without being typical "super fans".

Great for any QL Fan
Well researched and very down the middle. They call out both the good and bad of the show. The content is great, however their humor and banter keeps me coming back. I hope this trio recaps the early seasons too.

A must listen for QL fans.
Quantum Leap has been my favorite show since I was a wee lad. Allison, Matt, and Chris bring their love and knowledge of the program to every episode, but also don’t take themselves too seriously. You will occasionally get interviews from creators and guest stars which is also a very informative. I know there are a few Quantum Leap podcasts out there, but this one is definitely worth a subscribe and listen.

Great show
I’ve heard a lot of fan/rewatch podcasts but this one is a cut above the rest. The hosts are great- the perfect amount of funny and informative, I was legit surprised at how much I like all 3 of them without hearing of them before. But the real highlight is the guests- they manage to pull some of the most interesting behind the scenes people and and get very interesting in-depth interviews about the episodes. Docked it one star simply because it is too long, the show would benefit from a little editing to keep it under 2 hours. Still, it’s fantastic content and I’ll keep listening regardless of the length.

Found the show through Allison and her incredible YouTube channel. I watched Quantum Leap during the original run and loved and now I am enjoying revisiting the episodes via this podcast.

The Podcasters Fail to Stay on Topic
First, Albie and Heather's "witty" repartee isn't witty – it's just irritating. This podcast could easily be thirty minutes long if they would just stay on topic. There just isn't enough information about the show.
Second, similarly, the hosts seem to constantly talk about the things they don't know. It seems like there is no show prep or direction to the podcast. Again, they need to stay on topic.
Third, I have a hard time listening to Heather's vocal fry in Every Single Sentence! I understand it's popular to do right now, but this is over the top.
The only good thing I found are the interviews with people who worked on the show.

Thank You!
Thank you both. I love Quantum Leap and have for years, and have only just now found something to have in my life to make me travel along with Sam Beckett all over again.
After binging the series 10 times already just for the hell of it I was starting to lose my will to do it one more time until I found you guys. Love the discussion, especially from having both perspectives of a longtime fan and someone experiencing the show for the first time.
Love the recaps, the intro, everything about it just works properly and it's best when both co-hosts of the show I genuinely feel are intelligent people and even only after hearing two episodes, I've got a feeling about you two. The same feeling I got when I was 15 years old and experienced Scott and Dean on my TV watching reruns on IonTv.
Back then if it wasn't flashy and had a big budget I wasn't interested but Quantum Leap changed all that. It was the first show I had ever watched up to that point where I cared more about the story, than the special effects (which were dated as all hell when you're watching in 2004).
This show was the catalyst for me. And changed the way I look at storytelling and I'm thankful for that. And proud to join you both for this new journey.
Thank you again.

Oh boy!
Very enjoyable dissections of the episodes by Albie, a QL veteran and Heather on her first viewing of the series. Some of the interviews they've scored are amazing! If you're a long-time fan of the show, or just starting out with it; this is a great follow up to each episode

Oh boy!
About 8 episodes in and loving this podcast. Heather and Albie are great and I like the interviews with cast members from quantum leap.
The only nitpicky complaint I have is you guys are a bit monotone, liven up a little! =P

A blast from the past
This is a great podcast dealing with the show Quantum Leap. It is very enjoyable and I love hearing the views of one who has watched the show before and a newbie. I can't wait for the next episode

I was in my late teens, early adulthood when this show was on. I loved this show. Quantum Leap was fantastic. I loved it.
Heather and Albie's review of the show is just as fantastic. I love listening to Heather's first time viewer's thoughts on it and I really enjoy Albie's long time fan comments.
Ignore the one yahoo up top complaining about Al & Heather's nitpicks. Yes they're going to pick at nits, as this show is so fantastic, that's the only thing you can do. To be fair, you want to point out the flaws. Most of the flaws in this show are little nitpicks, so please Albie and Heather... keep it up.
As long as you keep reviewing, I'll keep listening.
Anyone looking for a GREAT Quantum Leap podcast, should be listening to this one.
Thanks guys.

A Fun Trip Through Quantum Leap Nostalgia
I have been really enjoying listening to this podcast as I have been a huge fan of Quantum Leap since I first discovered it in the early nineties. Albie and Heather have kept the podcast entertaining and informative. I really like the music segues into the different segments as it keeps Quantum Leap present in the background.
The growing number of guest segments from listeners shows that Heather and Albie want to include additional perspectives and that is really cool. Hayden McQueenie gives us a lot of food for thought on each episode which allows us to appreciate the series even more. I have also really enjoyed getting to know Heather and Albie as people and it was a nice surprise to find out that they are actually a real life couple. And best of all, I really like that we can live vicariously through Heather's experience of watching the series as it is her first time traversing through the Quantum Leap universe. But before I conclude this review, I wish to acknowledge Albie's excellent interviewing skills when interviewing various individuals from the show. My one criticism about the podcast is that it doesn't have a set schedule of when it comes out and it usually feels like a long time in between podcasts. But I am perhaps coming from a spoiled perspective and should just be grateful that there is a Quantum Leap podcast at all. I will go sit in the corner now. :)
Your loyal listener,
Brian

Good hosts
Heather is very charming and funny and very talented. Albie is good, too. I am almost exactly the same age as Albie, and grew up watching the show, too. I listened to a QL ep of "It's That Episode," and it was entertaining enough to make me want to seek out a QL podcast. This was the option on iTunes. I'm glad it's a good podcast. I'm not into Castle, Terra Nova, nor The Vampire Diaries, but I might check them out just because Heather is so good on this podcast. I give her a lot of credit regarding her podcasing skills because she's so young.
I didn't intend to watch the eps before listening to the podcast reviews, but after the Genesis podcast ep, I decided to, because, even though I liked the podcast ep without having seen the ep (in over 20 years), I knew it would be more enjoyable if I'd seen the QL eps (recently) before listening to Heather and Albie talking about the various eps. It's great that Heather had never seen the show before-- it makes for a nice and different perspective. I like that they are a husband and wife and have a child together. I like getting to know the hosts of the podcasts I listen to. It also probably helps with the podcast chemistry-- they can probably be more honest about the things they say, and that makes for a better podcast show.
The TV trailers are terrific. It was a great idea to include them. I also like the bloopers at the end. It was also nice of Heather and Albie to give away QL comic books to listeners. Keep up the good work, you two.

Awesome Podcast!
Love it! Very well done!

Perfect? No. But neither was Sam or Al
This is still a relatively young podcast and it's hosts are still working to find their voices. They're doing a great job, however, helping us all relive the amazing production that was Quantum Leap. As the half of the duo that has seen these before, Albie is doing a good job of playing coy for his partner. Heather is who we are living vicariously through, though, as she is discovering each episode for the first time. Could they pick the episodes apart and find fault within each one? Sure, but that's not where the joy is - they're doing what we all love to do, which it to watch and celebrate as Sam is triumphant at helping put right what once went wrong.

Excellent!!
Stumbled onto this podcast while doing some Quantum Leap movie research and immediately connected with it! I absolutely love this show, and love the fact that there are people like me out there! Albie and Heather do an excellent job of describing this show! I also love the fact that Heather has yet to see the whole series as I find it enjoyable to hear someone as excited as I was/am when I first watched all of the episodes! Not that my love for the show has ever wained, but this podcast has definitely reminded me of just how great it really was! Definitely worth the listen everyone!

Great podcast covering one of my favorite shows from childhood!
Love this one! Such a fan of Quantum Leap and was so excited to stumble on this podcast about it.
Me and my wife are having a blast going back and watching old episodes with this podcast as a supplement.
Great hosts and they add a lot to our enjoyment of the the show.

Fantastic podcast!
This podcast could disappear and it would be greatly missed! It more than serves its purpose. I find the "nit picking" (as stated below) to be a breath of fresh air. An obvious love for the show fuels this podcast, so to take it beyond there as an insult to it and them not liking the show sounds like a misunderstanding to me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion! Please tune in, guys! It's worth every second of your time and then some. So much love coming your way! Keep up the stellar podcast! ❤

Not up to par
I signed up for this hoping to hear some good insights from someone who was watching and enjoying hte show for the first time. I was very disappointed. I only listened to Genesis and got the feeling that neither of the podcasters actually liked the show. They failed to take into account the effects of the show were from 25 years ago and were nit-picking on silly things -- such as hair style and clothing. I highly recommend Quantum Leap, but this podcast could disappear and I wouldn't miss it.
