Dr. Charles Steindel was Chief Economist of New Jersey from November 2010 through August 2014. He joined the Treasury after a 25-year career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he was a Senior Vice President. He has also worked at the First National Bank of Chicago and the Federal Reserve Board.  At the New York Fed he played a leading role in producing U.S. economic forecasts and in monetary policy advice. He has served as president of a number of New York area professional groups and on the Board of Directors of the National Association for Business Economics. Dr. Steindel received his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

As Assistant Secretary of Defense under President Clinton and Special Advisor to the Secretary of Defense under President Reagan, Dr. Graham Allison has been a member of the Secretary of Defense’s Advisory Board for every Secretary from Weinberger to Mattis. Dr. Allison has received the Defense Department's highest civilian award, the Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service, for "reshaping relations with Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan to reduce the former Soviet nuclear arsenal." Graham Allison is also the “Founding Dean” of Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and until 2017, served as Director of its Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs which is ranked the “#1 University Affiliated Think Tank” in the world.

Current Federal Reserve Analyst,  René Chalom, is a Princeton-educated Economist who conducts statistical macroeconomic research for the FRBNY.

A career military officer, Retired Army Brigadier General Ryan served as Chief of Staff for the Army's Space and Missile Defense Command. He served in air and missile defense, intelligence, and political-military policy areas. He was previously head of the Moscow office of the POW/MIA Commission, searching for missing Americans in the former Soviet states. He has also served as Senior Regional Director for Slavic States in the Office of Secretary of Defense and later as Defense Attaché to Russia. 

Dr. Samore was President Obama’s White House Coordinator for Arms Control and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) for four years. He was also Special Assistant to President Clinton and Senior Director for Nonproliferation and Export Controls at the National Security Council under the Clinton administration.
