Love love love to listen to this podcast to and from work and on long drives! I always talk about it with my coworkers, and have even played with them during work trips. We work in marine mammal rescue, so trips can be long. I’ve talked about it so much that I’ve been asked to take care of our monthly marine biology related trivia! Years ago my wife and I started looking for Trivia podcasts on our road trips and we stumbled across Sam when he had 13 episodes out. We have never missed one since! I love to listen to Sam and play some trivia as I’m walking my golden doodle Ramona. Of course, walking your dog and playing trivia means that I often times don’t get super high scores. But that’s OK, it’s a fun way to pass the time as we get our steps in. Keep it up Sam!

The best trivia podcast out there! My fiancé Bart (as of yesterday) love to listen as we drive to Disney World every few weeks. Most noticeably we listened while driving from Atlanta to Sarasota after watching a Braves game so we could get back for our pub trivia championships (which we won)! We don’t get to join the lives, but are hoping to soon. I’m an improvisor and he’s a bartender so we don’t have Fridays open much. Grateful for your podcast!

Wow! I can’t believe after two years of listening, I finally got through the entire catalogue. Now I’ll have to wait for new episodes to come out, no more 5-episode marathons. I think the trivia is written perfectly. There’s a good balance between relying on your knowledge and thinking through the puzzle of each round. Sam, you seem like a great person, I’m glad you do this for the love of the game. If you’re in the business of doing shoutouts, my girlfriend (who I sometimes do bar trivia with) has the initials GM and mine are BL. I prefer you use hers over mine, but you may have done hers already. Either way, see if you can work your magic!

Well-organized questions on variety of topics. Questions are appropriately challenging and are delivered in an engaging way by Sam. I am a new listener, but have been binging episodes during long stretches of soap making—it’s just enough to keep me entertained and acquiring new nuggets of knowledge without distracting me from the task at hand. Keep up the great work, Sam!

First listened to the show the whole drive home a couple football seasons ago after my team lost a heartbreaker on the road. Made the drive home much more bearable! Now my daughter, Eloise, and I enjoy listening to the show when we drive. Would love a shout out for her and I!

I tried as many trivia podcasts as I could find and NONE of them were as perfect as this one. The questions are hard enough that you feel challenged and when you get what would be a passing grade you really feel like you accomplished something. The different question formats are complicated enough to keep it interesting yet simple enough to understand quickly. The commentary isn’t too much and isn’t too little. It’s just right in a perfect sweet spot where it makes each episode satisfying. The way that Sam involves the listeners and his family members and friends makes it feel like we’re all just friends having game night. It really is the best trivia podcast out there and I am so shocked that it hasn’t become bigger by now but on the other hand, I’m excited to be able to participate before that happens! This nerd is gonna keep podding on! Btw when this gets big enough to need collaborators I volunteer!!!!!

Although we don’t tend to be great at trivia, we love the mix of topics and the round themes/puzzles usually help us piece together the answers. I’ve been listening to this podcast at work the past couple months in an attempt to up my own pub trivia team’s game (shout out District 1 Brewing, Stevens Point, WI). It’s entertaining, the rounds are fun and Sam is a killer host. Definitely makes my work days go faster, plus listening to this has gotten my team a couple of questions.

My husband found this podcast and we have really enjoyed playing trivia on our long car rides! We are picky about pub trivia and think Sam writes tough but fair trivia questions and love the different formats for rounds that keep things interesting. Usually I have to keep track of our answers in a note on my phone while my husband drives so we can solve the acrostics or figure out the common initials. My husband and I (we just got married this weekend!!) absolutely love this podcast and have been fans since the beginning! We have tried out so many trivia podcasts, and this is by far the best one. This podcast has been the highlight of my summer. My boyfriend and I just graduated college and we have done a lot of road trips with Pub Trivia at center stage. I think we’ve binged at least 50 episodes so far (especially those with Short Answer Chain). Sam does a wonderful job of providing fun rounds with various levels of difficulty for the trivia fans. He is one of the most humble sounding hosts in the pod world and listens can tell he truly loves to entertain. I’ve been a fan and listener for awhile and will continue to be one. And for the amount of a cup of coffee you can be a paid subscriber and help support his labor of love. It’s well worth it and I encourage everyone to partake. I’m a huge professional wrestling fan and would love to see the challenge for you to do a “The Alphabet Round” with wrestling as the theme :-) Keep up the amazing work and thank you for everything you do.

I love playing bar trivia and am glad to have found a podcast that allows me to keep playing! The rounds are fun and love how there’s a puzzle theme when answering questions! The podcast is great for long car rides and trying to keep your brain sharp.

My husband and I have been listening to (and loving) this podcast for years. Sam is so warm and friendly-sounding, and the questions are the perfect level of difficulty. We have to think hard and guess (but sometimes get lucky!) on some, we certainly miss a few, but that’s the fun of trivia!! Who wants to play a game that’s boringly easy?? We’re big road-trippers and Sam has kept us company for many adventures in the car. I honestly feel like he’s a friend at this point. We so very much appreciate the hours of entertainment Sam & his podcast have brought us! Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re a trivia fan!

My boyfriend and I are big trivia fans. It’s been an integral part of our relationship, from first dates to doing weekly trivia at our fave restaurant. Needless to say, we’ve listened to a lot of trivia podcasts trying to find our car ride go-to. It is EASILY pub trivia. Sam is fun to listen to and engaging, which is hard to do when it’s not live! A lot of trivia packed into a short time frame

We found The Pub Trivia Group podcast about 6 months ago and now it is a weekly event for us. The host, Sam does a great job putting together a very creative and entertaining show each week. Our family has also participated in the monthly live shows that Sam hosts on YouTube. These have been a great way to get our family together and compete as a team. It is definitely the best trivia podcast that we have found. Keep up the great work, Sam , the Cape Crusaders are big fans!

This is the best trivia podcast I’ve ever listened to, and I’ve tried quite a few. Sam is personable, speaks clearly and slowly, and mixes in a little comedy but not at the expense of the quiz itself. His theme rounds are excellent and fun to decipher. Most shows are thirty minutes or so, so it’s easy to fit in during a shorter drive. Look forward to playing one of his live online games!

I love this trivia podcast because the host is funny and personable, makes silly banter here and there, but gets right to the questions and answers - the actual trivia - which a lot of other podcasts take forever to get to. If you like actual trivia and not an entire talkshow, this is definitely the best around.

I’ve been searching a bit for a good trivia podcast and this one does not disappoint! The speed at which he speaks is perfect, he allows an excellent amount of time for considering the questions before providing the answers. I particularly love that he has a rotating selection of games in the episodes. I just started listening about two weeks ago and I’ve already heard the entire catalog. I can’t wait for more!

I’m all about that bass… and trivia. But my God, this background bass is so unbearably overpowering I had to switch pods! 🥴Change the background/tone it down and I’ll be back!
