Thinking is the fundamental human resource. Where we are today as a species is the aggregate of our thinking - the good, bad and ugly. And when we change our thinking, we change our worlds. I teach thinking for a living & invite you to upskill & expand your thinking to be a more effective person. We will discuss issues of the day & explore if & where poor thinking has been at play & experiment with better thinking models to understand how critical, relevant, scarce & much needed good thinking can be. Patrick Bet-David PBD Podcast and Valutainment: You asked, I answered #SolvingGunViolence
One of my favorite YouTubers asked his audience - me inclusive - days ago, to share possible solution to the US's ridiculous gun violence, control, safety problem. You asked, I answered. An overview? Well, since you asked so nicely... The structure of my offer centres around finding the whitespaces in between the competing interests of gun owners, gun manufacturers, regulators and non-gun owners. And borrowing from the familiar success of a 200+ years old industry to address the real problem! As my podcast says, The Problem Is Not The Problem! The problem is how you're thinking about the problem. Listen and upthink!

My New Staff & an interesting conversation: US Gun Violence II
So, I recently hired someone to handle digital marketing for us at Thinkers Edge - check us out on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. It's hard to sell what you don't really understand, so I led her through a small part of the larger training - Upthink 2.0. Guys the experience was riveting, even for me! The outcome of our simple joint thinking exercise blew, even I, out of the water! I have talked about the US Gun Violence issue before, yet I was still floored at the insights that emerged from the session! What happened? Well, listen in! Cheers!

The Problem of Mass Shootings in America: the 5 Whys Thinking Tools & the PRISM algorithm
There is a way to have difficult discussions and debates. And it is by collective thinking. In this episode, I'm not sharing my personal opinion on Mass Shootings in America. Instead we use the topic as a use case for how thinking tools can be used in difficult conversations and situations. We explore the 5 Whys Thinking Tools and how to use them, when to stop, where to stop. We also explore the way the PRISM algorithm can be used to develop an Effective Problem statement. No matter where you lie on the socio-cultural spectrum, with better thinking we can get more efficient and effective. We can retain our values and improve the chances and possibility of actually solving the problem - as opposed to just talking about it. Get ready to learn better thinking, because a better world awaits!

The PHENOMENAL POWER of UNANSWERED PRAYERS!
They say there are 4 answers to prayer: Yes, No, Wait & Silence. We all have more unanswered prayers than we have answered prayers. Let's call everything else apart from "Yes" unanswered prayer. How can thinking come into play? How can effective thinking help us leverage our unanswered? That's what we'll discuss on this podcast. Come in, let's dive in, unstuck from the "Shallows"

Reducing/Eliminating the Police Brutality/ Murder Problem in the US
Many problems that seem intractable, have solutions that elude us due to a weak or incomplete way of thinking about the problem. In this episode, we explore the police murder situation in the US by using the thinking tool - CAF (learn more in the podcast). Sometimes simple solutions only seem obvious in retrospect. However, simple does not necessarily mean easy. Furthermore there are key considerations in solutions selection, that we all miss from time to time. Many times what people do, that we consider as "evil" are merely the results of desperation, fear and anger - all mental states that interfere with efficient thinking. People sometimes feel they HAVE TO BE EVIL because they CANNOT SEE, think or conceptualize ANY OTHER WAY to achieve an ideal, purpose or vision which is incredibly important to them (whether the rest of us agree or not). So, let's solve America's killing-of-unarmed-suspects-problem in less than 1 hour. Ready? Let's go!
