Welcome to my Podcast "The new normal".
My name is Martina Plunger, physical therapist and owner of "The Prehab Studio", currently based in Amsterdam.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, lots of my clients, but also colleagues were overwhelmed with this new way of life. Everyone tried to make the best of the new normal (life), and as more time passed by, everyone realized how much this current situation is one big rollercoaster. This made me think and inspired me to record this podcast. Every episode I am talking to different female experts and colleagues of mine to see what they have to say about this current situation from their point of view: how it impacts them and their clients and what "the new normal" means to them.
My background:
in 2010 I graduated at the "European School of Physiotherapy" in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. During my BSc education, I had the chance to do my internships in different countries, e.g. Austria and China. In 2012 I opened a clinic for physiotherapy in Amsterdam. Soon it grew to a company with 5 practice location, with one in Austria. In 2019 I sold the shares of my company and started to work on different projects. In November 2019 I opened "The Prehab Studio" in Amsterdam. A multidisciplinary health studio which offers physiotherapy, osteopathy, prehab- and rehab programs, personal training, strength and conditioning, pre-and postnatal treatments, Yoga and Pilates. Since 2019 I am also working as a physiotherapist for the USOPC, US Olympic and Paralympic Comittee.
