In the case of strangers (those we're not overly familiar with), we may not know all of their struggles. But we can still give to them. Whether it's $5, $2, or a prayer, we can sow a generous Kingdom seed, of Holy Spirit' choosing, into their lives. Let's challenge ourselves to do a little better with that.
In the case of our marriages (those we are familiar with), let's find creative ways to still be generous, even when we feel we have a "right" to be selfish. And, perhaps even when we don't feel we want to give anything positive at all.
Giving never HAS TO BE excessively lavish or grandiose. It just has to be sincere. That's all God asks of us when we give. So, let's challenge ourselves to be more generous with our time, wherewithal, and other resources and simply, "give what you have at hand."
