Episode  #1198 If your wife seems uninterested in sex, the problem may not be that she has no desire. In this episode of The TPM Show, Doug and Erin Holt challenge a common assumption men make in sexless or disconnected marriages: "My wife just doesn't want sex anymore." Erin shares that the women she knows and coaches often still have strong sexual desire. What can disappear is the emotional connection, attraction, safety, and space that allows that desire to be expressed with their husband. Doug and Erin explore the difference between simply wanting more sex and creating the conditions for connected, passionate intimacy. They discuss emotional safety, resentment, attraction, feeling desired, and what can happen when a husband becomes withdrawn, needy, or disconnected from himself. Doug also shares examples of men who rebuilt themselves and saw their intimate relationships change dramatically. The point isn't to manipulate your wife into having more sex. It's to look honestly at how you're showing up, rebuild connection, and learn the relationship and intimacy skills you may never have been taught. They also discuss how couples can communicate more openly about what they enjoy sexually, including a practical "yes, no, maybe" exercise Doug and Erin recently used themselves.
