Very comforting on a sick day

I’ve missed Brent’s show Pointed Questions which deep dive various topics. A lot of the new episodes of poundcast are like that and I’ve enjoyed it!

I’m enjoying the podcast more now that Brent has taken over!

I didn’t have a choice when I was as not circumcised. I now have a choice whether to listen to these men or not. Full circle?

the key is to not wait for anything. be in the now. sometimes they’ll make you laugh. sometimes they’ll make you think. sometimes nothing. i like the organic feel and the lack of preparation. sort of like listening to a discord server while playing a video game. it’s a good change from laugh per second shows like conan needs a friend and smartless. nothing wrong with dead air.

You grew up in the 80s and 90s, didn’t you ever watch Unsolved Mysteries???

There literally isn’t any better guys to solve nagging minor issues of society.

Long time Poundcast listener here! Love Doug and Brent. They are fun, offbeat and authentic! If you are into Adult Swim or off beat comedy in general, this is the podcast for you! I hope they can interview Barbara Streisand or Cardi B someday!

I'm trying to do my dishes and it been hella since a new episode. If y'all need a guest I'm like "what's up?" but for real deep down I just miss that Brent like, "what's up?".

This podcast is solid, rock hard, and full of wonder.

Doug gets mad props for being a hometown hero, and Brent is leading the way for the new sensitive, thoughtful male. Some of their guests, though, remind me of precocious theater kids in high school who have bad taste in art. Seems like all it takes to get into the industry is rich parents and unwavering self-belief. Clue The Movie is terribad. Every barista wants to try their hand at comedy. It’s gracious of the Poundcast to boost these kids, and i suppose they get boosted in return. Entertainment is not a meritocracy, it’s an oligarchy. Doug and Brent are rare exceptions.

I really really really loved the Poundcast, but recently they've put up a paywall and offer a second episode with their guests exclusively for those who pay. They go so far as to cut off interesting questions and save them for the paying listeners. I get that we all gotta make our money but this addition has severly hurt the quality of the show to the point where I no longer listen. Go back to the orginal format please.
