For full show notes go to https://marandabower.com/neurological-feedback-loop-of-your-postpartum-body-podcast-ep12/I am sharing this training that is going to be a deep dive into neurology. We all have a neurological feedback system in our bodies. I am going to get a little “sciencey” on you but I promise it will be all worth it. The neurological feedback loop goes like this, if you think a thought, as your mind is registering that thought your body has already sent a corresponding emotion from the thought to your body. That emotion is essentially a bunch of hormones that are released into the bloodstream. This means that your body is not to be blamed for falling apart or causing you pain. It's simply the communication system that is happening within you based on the thoughts that are going on in your brain. The thoughts sent out, create emotions, which are hormones that are running through your body and affect every cell of your being. Your emotions are showing you where your awareness is, and where to focus to bring about change. So many of us spend a great deal of time focusing on the wrong area. This is POWERFUL stuff, if you’re intrigued, come listen in on the rest of the episode to see what tips I give on this neurological feedback loop during postpartum. In this episode, I’m sharing with you:The neurological feedback loopAre you just reacting to your emotions?Hormones are controlled by the nutrients in our bodyBalancing your thoughts How food plays a part in thisSleep, are you getting enough? What part sleep plays in all of thisAre you listening to your body?Time spent focusing on all the wrong thingsAddressing the main issues simultaneously to promote healingOur thoughtsThe food we are consumingSleep- If you'd like to work with me, or need support, reach out here! https://marandabower.com/contact/-Purchase my Nutrition Program https://marandabower.com/nutrition/-Get on the waitlist for The Postpartum Nutrition Certification Programhttps://marandabower.com/certification/Where to find me:Apply here to work 1:1 with me here >>>https://marandabower.com/contact/Email: [email protected]:https://www.facebook.com/postpartummarandaInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/postpartummaranda/Website:https://marandabower.com/

For full show notes go to https://marandabower.com/how-birth-impacts-your-postpartum-years-interview-with-dominika-buck-podcast-ep10/We have a special guest, Dominika Buck on the podcast today! Dominika is a certified postpartum nutrition coach and business owner. She owns Above and Beyond Doula Care, which supports women in labor and during breastfeeding. We get into a deep conversation about how birth can impact not just weeks postpartum but years to come. Preparing for a friendly birth experience is what everyone wants to do but they rely too much on childbirth. What I mean by this is they tend to take childbirth classes and have an idea of what childbirth is “supposed” to be, and when that expectation doesn’t happen, they are left dealing with fear and overwhelm. But on the other hand, if you go into childbirth with no expectations you will feel like childbirth just happened to you and be left feeling out of control with the entire process. Having a doula will help you feel like you have complete control over the birthing process. Come listen in on all the goodness that Dominika shares in this episode, and be sure to share it with all your friends and family.I highly recommend that you go check out Dominika and all the amazing things she has to offer. For full show notes go to https://marandabower.com/postpartum-hormones-are-they-really-out-of-balance-podcast-ep6/Our hormones are responsible for everything. These little signals in your body are constantly sending out messages and controlling so much of what you experience in this world, no matter if you're postpartum or not. But in pregnancy and postpartum, our hormones take the front seat, and we become even more aware of their existence for two different reasons. The first reason, hormones bring your body into a heightened state to care for your baby and keep them safe, and the second reason we are so much more aware of them is that they’re not being supported as needed and become so out of balance that they start to mess with EVERYTHING.In this episode, I’m focusing on talking all about how to balance your hormones and why we experience hormone fluctuations during pregnancy and postpartum.Be sure to follow the podcast so you don’t miss out on new episodes and leave a review! If you want to work with me you can reach me here, https://marandabower.com/contact/. In this episode, I’m sharing with you:Why are so many women experiencing hormone imbalances in postpartum?Postpartum hormones are not naturally out of controlThere is a normal shift and change, but NOT an imbalance Our society knows nothing about healing the body during the sacred and raw and vulnerable time that postpartum isFixing it with pills, or herbs or essential oils are not the answerThe root of the issue needs to be addressed and fixedThe Postpartum Hormone Cycle Chart (find this in my Facebook group >>>here )Four Components of the Hormone CycleThese four pieces are fundamental to healing your body.
