The Popcorn Playbook combines two of my favorite things: sports and movies. Each episode I discuss a particular sports movie. It might be a very well-known one or it might be something obscure. Either way, I always try to bring some fresh insight and analysis. Did you know Jack Nicholson directed a basketball movie? Why do movies about boxing seem to consistently turn out better than other sports? Could Slap Shot be considered a feminist film? It’s a critical take on the wide world of sports movies.
