Some of the most important lessons I have ever learned didn't come from a classroom, a book, or the internet, they came from my mother.

Growing up, she taught me that being a Black woman means navigating a world that will often underestimate you before it gets to know you. She taught me that sometimes you have to work three times as hard to receive the same recognition, but that your response should never be bitterness, it should be excellence.

In this episode, I share the lessons that shaped me: why grace and resilience are powerful, why we don't have to fit into the boxes society creates for us, why being the loudest person in the room isn't the same as being the most impactful, and why carrying yourself with intention matters when people are always watching.

This conversation is about dignity, discipline, self-respect, and the legacy of Black women who continue to redefine what strength looks like.
