In this Episode of the Plus Size Experience Podcast I have a special guest here, Andrea, the Founder of the Size Inclusive Fashion Brand Verseau Paris. The sustainable and luxurious fashion market is extremely limited for plus size consumers, nevertheless Verseau Paris made it possible to create signature pieces that are a must in every womens wardrobe. Those pieces are crafted, designed and produced in France under one of the highest standards I ever came across in my career as a size inclusive fashion stylist & expert.  As a consumer we should be more aware about the process and standards our clothes are being designed and produced under. Andrea is telling us very detailed in this episode about the process of designing and producing plus size clothes, but also how your wardrobe is affecting your confidence level.  Verseau's pieces are crafted with french know-how and they use the finest fabrics. Working with leftover fabric from the big French fashion houses, organic cotton and sustainable viscose. I absolutely enjoyed this episode and I also need to point out how hard it is on the market for small designers and brands.  Verseau has to start now a crowdfunding campaign as the costs of designing and producing under these very high standards are extremely expensive and their margin are super low. The crowdfunding will start in a couple of days and will only last for two which will decide the future of the brand. The 2000s and 90s are back, and with it comes a renewed focus on body image and the thin ideal. It seems like all the body positive progress we've made in the past years is being undone, as people start to glorify the "body beautiful" look again. But we can't let this happen! social media bullying is something that I unfortunately experienced this weekend. I am a plus size person, and I was bullied because of my size. I want to encourage anyone who is experiencing social media bullying to speak out and seek help if necessary. Just because you are a bigger person, it doesn't mean that people should just get to you and bring you down. Bullies belong to the therapist and not on social media. So please, if social media bullying is something you're experiencing, don't be afraid to reach out for help. You deserve to be respected and treated with kindness, no matter what your size is.
