Thoughtful and inspiring
This show is a walking meditation. Beautifully written and performed, it’s thought-provoking and inspiring. Both a great tribute to HDT and an uplifting addition to the day.

A much needed change of pace
So many of the podcasts I listen to are pretty much just talk radio shows. Comedians talking about random stuff, or experts dryly reading their books. Trey manages to pick topics that are truly fascinating to dive into and really think on and he does it with a super clear unique voice. I could listen to it all day.

Love his stories from The Village
I am hooked on this series! The writing and the storyteller’s narration; For me, it's an adult’s fairy tale with a gentle nod to the realities we mortals deal with. I allow my imagination to run free in the stories and I’m left feeling restored and soothed. My walks are definitely elevated and I appreciate there’s always something to be grateful for. Keep writing please Trey!

Take Time to Listen
In this fast paced world, I love to pause. After twenty-five years of practicing Yoga, being still and listening is something I cherish.
It can literally be something outside my body such as leaves rustling, thunder rumbling, rain tapping on the window or pausing to catch my own thoughts.
After listening to Episode 1, I’m hooked. Trey’s podcast is calming and allows me to pause in another way. I feel as though my heart rate slows down, my breathing becomes deeper and softer. This “walking” feels like another form of meditation. I’m excited to listen to more podcasts and walk either physically or in my mind as I listen and learn.

Something else illuminated
I heard David Fincher say once that when you go and see a Terrence Malick film you’re always looking to get something else illuminated. This is what I feel Trey Hill does for his cast The Peripatetics. Through sharing his own experiences, he invites you to have a walker mentality and absorb what’s around you, and take in beauty. We can run past many things to get to a destination, Trey challenges us to allow our walk to be our something else illuminated. I recommend highly this cast.

A cool drink of water for the soul
For the weary and overburdened this podcast is a moment of rest and a reset. It is paced delightfully like a slow but meaningful walk through the woods with the freedom to stop and look at the light coming through the leaves. Trey is gentle but convicted, and the attention to detail in everything including the sound design is incredible. It is a cool drink of water for the soul and I will be drawing from this well so long as there is a drop left.

Delightfully slow
A perfect mix of literature, history, philosophy and personal stories. Well executed and well produced without over doing it.

Therapeutic Storytelling
I’m a devoted walker, but in no way does that prequalify me to find this deeply compelling and insightful. I find Trey’s observations of the world he’s ambling through fresh and serendipitously connected to mine. He provokes new curiosities in me, and puts words to ideas that stir reflection. Part personal, part poetic, part visceral, part philosophical - The Peripatetics adds up to an unexpected dose of therapeutic and entertaining storytelling. More please!

Enchanting
An emotionally intelligent & enchanting love letter of philosophy and introspection tactfully woven to make even the most abstract ideas accessible to all listeners. Fitting for the seasoned philosopher or newly curious novice seeking clarity and insight, this enriching journey is deeply engaging and intentionally leaves you with a sense of wonder and contemplation.
