Hey Peaches! It’s been forever since we’ve graced your presence with our lovely voices and ridiculous tangents but it’s been a rough month. Sadly, Bex’s incredible Gramps passed away so things have been unexpectedly turned upside down. In this episode, we chat about Bex’s Gramps and how he was a man of few words but full of random and helpful advice (don’t buy Shell gas and make sure you have a wad of cash on ya to find a sweet deal! Lol). He was wise, funny and loving man and he will be missed greatly! We also discuss how grieving is during a pandemic sucks ass and feels weird and surreal to lose someone during this time. It’s the Pandemic Update/Grandparents/Dog episode so we hope you enjoy reminiscing and laughing with us! Our Grampa’s were our favourite guys, while our Gramma’s make us question if we’ll be that crazy when we’re old AF! Lol :) Enjoy!

Oh hey Peaches! The second part of our chat about medication for anxiety/depression/mental illness seen from Bex's point of view. We chat about the changes over the years and how different meds have calmed her mind and helped her be the best Mom, Wife and badass woman. We also go on a couple tangents because that's who we are as humans and hope you enjoy listening to our ramblings! Remember Peaches, taking medication shouldn't be shameful - it should be celebrated because you took the best step to be a better you :) Let's squash the stigma!

J9 and Bex talk about medicating to help anxiety/depression/other mental illnesses and how medication has helped them get through the shitstorm of life! Part 1 of 2, J9 opens up about her struggles and what she’s done (or not done lol) to help her cope with mental illness. We hope to shed on the normalcy of taking medications to help you conquer your struggles. Let’s end the stigma!

J9 and Bex are back from their hiatus with an episode all about Christmas traditions and the usual randomness! During this strange time with COVID, we hope you are joyous AF, grateful AF and jolly AF even though it’s kind of crappy not being with everyone you love. Let us know what your favourite traditions are and we hope this episode makes you smile (or judge us...there’s a thin line lol). Merry Ho-Ho Peaches!

Let’s give a warm welcome to our first guest on the Peachy AF podcast - Lauralee Vlasveld (say that ten times fast! Lol). J9 and Bex chat with Lauralee about all the trauma she’s faced in her life which ultimately has been the basis of her new podcast “Sassy Little Sister Podcast.” Lauralee and J9 lived just a street over from each other in highschool but had completely different family lives. This episode talks about overdose, drugs, death, abuse and that’s just the tip of the iceberg to what Lauralee has experienced in her 33 years. Please listen with an open mind and know there are resources for those struggling with addiction and for their families and we will have links on our website. Like we have said before, you never know what people are going through so always be kind. We hope this episode helps those struggling and know you aren’t alone.

J9 and Bex chat about how they met the men who tolerate their shenanigans. Pretty unique stories but we wouldn’t change it unless Chris Hemsworth (aka Thor - come to mama!) or Justin Hartley (Kevin from This Is Us - duh!) decide to whisk us away! In all seriousness, these guys deserve medals for the crazies we can be and we love them soooo much! Have fun relationship stories? We’d love to hear em so send us a voice clip, email us at [email protected] or comment on any of our social accounts and you can be featured in an episode ;)

In this episode, Bex opens up about her experience of losing her Mom and she might just shed a tear! All jokes aside, it’s a very raw story of how cancer body slammed her life and how she is still dealing with the pain and grief. We also touch on other reasons why J9’s adult life has been a shitshow! Grab your tissues and possibly a drink because there’s a lot of feels in this one. Much love Peaches!

In this episode, J9 dives deep into what happened to her big brother as it marks a decade since the tragedy. Losing her brother has shaped who she is today and on the anniversary of his death we would like to have his story known. Grief has no time limit and we hope others find comfort that it’s okay to not be okay and to seek help for your grieving process. There are triggers of murder, crime, mental health and shootings so please take caution and keep an open mind as it is a difficult story to tell. Life ain’t all sunshine and lollipops but it’s the struggles and truth that what make us who we are.
