NYU Tisch students Marc Manaloto and Julie Cai discuss working as the Marketing Director and Secretary, respectively, on the Board of the All Asian Arts Alliance, a club at NYU dedicated to supporting and uplifting artists of Asian descent to celebrate and empower their unique identities. They spoke about how their roles function, how the club has evolved since its inception, and how the AAAA has been fighting social injustices and getting involved with the Black Lives Matter movement this summer. Marc and Julie also touched on how they incorporate their identity into art and their personal experiences overcoming the racial inequities that exist in their programs at Tisch.
