Born and raised in the slums of Banda in Kampala, Uganda, Joel Jassu miraculously earned a full scholarship to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture at the University of Memphis. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Architecture at Georgia Tech on a full scholarship.
