Old Mrs. Moody
The Old Mrs. Moody Show follows Old Mrs. Moody and her friend Catbaloo, whose ordinary days together turn extraordinary.
Annette - first prize fish
Old Mrs. Moody holds her breath as the prize wheel spins at the Adopt-a-Pet booth. Who will win, and what will the GRAND PRIZE be? "And the winner is… Misssssusss Moooooody!" She wins! And the grand prize is a fishbowl and a beautiful little goldfish! Thrilled with her new pet, Mrs. Moody hurries home to set up the fishbowl and settle her little fishy into its new home. All is going well until she tries to feed it and accidentally dumps the whole box of fish food into the water. And now the water is cloudy and dirty! Oh no! Her poor little fish! Old Mrs. Moody isn't sure what to do. Just then, Catbaloo knocks on the door and comes to the rescue. She's had a goldfish before and knows just what to do to fix the dirty water problem. Once the water is clean again, Catbaloo even shows Old Mrs. Moody that goldfish can learn to do tricks, and before long, her little goldfish is quite the performer! Throughout the story, listeners will learn a little about caring for a goldfish and be reminded that sometimes help is already on the way, even when we don't know it yet © 2026 Old Mrs. Moody Stories

Pipi's Spectacular Egg
On a visit to her sister Pearl's hobby farm, Old Mrs. Moody teaches Catbaloo how to gather eggs from the chicken coop. With their baskets full, they find a shady spot beneath a tree and sit down to examine the eggs. When Old Mrs. Moody points out a beautiful speckled egg, Catbaloo is reminded of the story of Pipi, a little mouse who discovers a spectacular egg hidden in a clump of tall grass in the churchyard. Certain he hears something inside, Pipi rolls the egg home and keeps it warm while he waits for it to hatch. As Catbaloo tells the story, Festus, a darling miniature donkey, climbs into Old Mrs. Moody's lap to listen. Perhaps you'd like to climb up next to Festus and hear the story, too. There's much to learn from Pipi's Spectacular Egg: a little about chickens and eggs, and a lot about believing in things you cannot yet see. Thank you for listening © 2026 Old Mrs. Moody Stories

The Golden Spike Yeehaw!
At an estate sale at the mysterious house at the end of their street, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo discover a fascinating antique clock. When they accidentally wind the clock backwards, something incredible happens—they travel back in time! Suddenly, they find themselves in Promontory, Utah, on May 10, 1869, just in time to witness the historic Golden Spike celebration—the moment the transcontinental railroad is finally completed. Old Mrs. Moody even becomes part of the story when she volunteers to send a Morse code message over the telegraph, announcing to the entire country that the final rail has been laid. © 2026 Old Mrs. Moody

Harry's Happy Heart
When Harry is in a very bad mood, his mother says, "Go outside and play, Harry. Being outdoors will make your heart feel happy!" And his mother is right. The warm sunshine on Harry's face feels wonderful, and his tail begins to wag—just a little bit. The fresh air feels so good that Harry decides to take a walk in the park. There, he meets a squirrel trying to dig a hole to bury acorns, a little boy whose sailboat has drifted into the middle of the pond, and a duck with both of her feet stuck deep in a mud puddle. In each situation, Harry comes to the rescue, and each time he helps, his tail wags a little bit more. © 2026 Old Mrs. Moody

Snowballs & Elves & Jingle Bells
While Christmas shopping at a new bookstore in town, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo find a Christmas book filled with pictures of Santa's workshop so inviting that they decide to jump right into its pages. At the count of three, they close their eyes and jump—and in the blink of an eye, they are at the North Pole. When Old Mrs. Moody accidentally starts a snowball fight with the elves, they don't mind at all. Instead, they invite their new friends inside the workshop to warm up. Inside, the elves hurry about making toys, and in the kitchen, Santa and Mrs. Claus make candy while singing "Jingle Bells." © 2025 Old Mrs. Moody

Mermaid Rescue at the Market
Mermaids are real! Just ask Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo. They'll tell you about the day they rescued a baby mermaid from the crab tank at the supermarket. While babysitting their friend Lizbeth's baby, Mable, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo realize they don't have anything planned for her lunch. Off they go to the market to find her something to eat. But when they pass the lobster and crab tanks in the fish department, Mable spots something incredible—a tiny mermaid swimming among the crabs! Knowing she doesn't belong there, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo work together to rescue the baby mermaid and return her safely to the sea. The story ends quietly, with a gentle mermaid lullaby sung by Old Mrs. Moody as baby Mable drifts off to sleep. © 2025 Old Mrs. Moody

Walnut Hullabaloo
Catbaloo shares a story from Old Mrs. Moody's life before they became neighbors. When walnut season arrives and ten tall trees begin dropping their nuts, Old Mrs. Moody calls her chickens to gather them. The hens are delighted and immediately begin imagining all the walnut treats they might make. But the walnuts are needed elsewhere, too. The squirrels who live nearby are busy gathering food for the winter, and before long, a noisy and comical battle over the walnuts begins. With Old Mrs. Moody stepping in, the chaos settles, and there turn out to be walnuts enough for everyone. © 2023–2025 Old Mrs. Moody

The Baaaa Moooo
Something is amiss at Uncle Henry's farm. The chickens have stopped laying eggs, the cows aren't giving milk, and none of the animals will eat their dinner. Even worse, they're all in foul moods. When Uncle Henry calls Catbaloo for help, she picks up Old Mrs. Moody and the two set off to investigate. But their trip is delayed when the car won't start, sending them on a short detour to Haney's Service Station. As they look for answers—on the farm and under the hood—they begin to see that animals, cars, and people all need the right kind of fuel to keep going. © 2025 Old Mrs. Moody
