Love Brian, but
I love Brian, love his voice, but commercials are absolutely ridiculous. This is not a podcast; it's a loop of commercials sprinkled sparingly with Brian. Can't do it. (I listened to every word of his original)

Commercials
Love the office! The content of the podcast are pretty good. They serve as good filler between the endless commercials that seem to be continuously thrown at you as you get one or two minutes of conversation, followed by.

Good content but way too many ads
I enjoy listening to the conversations but three 4-minute ad breaks in 30 minutes is too much. And the editing is awful, with many of the ad breaks coming mid-sentence. After 4 minutes of commercials it’s hard to remember the first half of the sentence they interrupted. Definitely not choosing this podcast regularly.

Ads, but Kevin, so…
The unprecedented amount of ads ( which I have never seen such a high volume as this in any other podcast ever) really annoyed me and made me want to give this one star. However, Brian Baumgartner is so flipping awesome that I could not bring myself to give it one star. Although it is inconvenient to hit the forward 30 seconds button so frequently, the dude is genuinely entertaining and insightful, and listening to him chop it up with members of the office cast and crew, etc. is so wonderful that instead I have decided to give it a three star review rather than a one star. But I would definitely highly highly suggest that you go easy on the ads in the future. Either way, though, thank you for putting this together and for getting all of these cast and crew members together for conversations and interviews. It genuinely is very interesting and insightful and enjoyable for us Office fans. Wish you all the best, Brian.

More ads than podcast
Dude you can’t possibly be that cool but this thirsty for ad money. I thought dumbness was just a character trait for you, but no it’s a choice apparently… BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
almost like a scam
Fine Show | AWFUL Ads
I’m not going to be able to move forward with the show. Interviews would be interesting, but the ads are too long, too frequent, too numerous, and very poorly integrated. It’s just not worthwhile to deal with. I’ll listen to something else.

Is that Ashton Kutcher… No it’s KEVIN MALONE
Way too many ads bro you’re my favorite office character I was so excited for this podcast but there’s like 6 ad breaks per episode

Couldn’t handle the ads! Made it 27:30 into a single episode, before I couldn’t handle the jarring breaks from the dialog.

Try a little harder for the money
Interesting interviews in part due to the extensive culture built around The Office. Thanks for that! But wow..there really seems to be a solid income stream just based on the legendary number of ads, of which there are so many that they appear both after cues for a break and then also 1-2 minutes later in a jarring way that suddenly interrupt one of the speakers mid sentence. As a well endowed actor and now podcaster, you’re already making so much more money doing fun work that is much less stressful and where the salary is much less fair than that of demanding jobs like say, social worker, teacher, farm laborer, dancer, ecologist, and on and on. Please at least make the effort to produce this show in a pleasing way since, again, it seems to bring in substantial ad money. At least do that since, clearly, you’re making enough income. Because right now it’s high earnings, low production quality. And, as a listener and receiver of that quality, it feels insulting on multiple levels.

So many ads!!
Every episode is interrupted multiple times for ads. The current hour long episode has stopped for 6 add breaks so far, and I am almost halfway through the episode.

Inspiring and educational for creatives, entrepreneurs (note about ad breaks)
The Office was successful because of the organization culture, the creative genius, the courage to question the conventions in the industry. These interviews are inspiring and educational for artists, leaders, entrepreneurs, or anyone who wants to learn how to create something great in a world full of good. I LOVE this podcast! As someone who listens to podcasts while at work, driving, and doing chores… The ad breaks have made it almost impossible to listen to this absolute gem. But luckily it’s SO good! I have to stop what I’m doing, clean my hands, walk over to my phone, and skip ahead: 5 times in 40 minutes. 15 times after 3 hours. I will do it because I’m a huge fan, and I hope the creatives behind this show are being paid well. But if the ad breaks could be longer and fewer and achieve the same results, it would be a gift to listeners. Thank you for this amazing show!

Interview w Steve Carell
Brian — Firsr of all you have an amazing baritone to your voice! Listening to you is absolute pleasure and your conversations with Office peeps and staff are so wonderfully balanced & interesting. Yes, my fave interview/conversation has been Steve C. Well because he’s such a good human AND there’s a reason why the show resounds 10 yrs later — we all can see eachother and ourselves in the ensemble and stories! Like Steve said — humanity pervades this show and it’s not contrived like so many other shows that have been made over the years. Thank you thank you! Oh btw, I did enjoy your conversation with Rainn too because of learning more about your background & his and the juxtaposition with Steve’s improv skills! Fascinating! Please continue this conversation:)

Great Conversations When Ads Aren’t Playing
Agree with others that there are way too many ads and since they’re auto-injected it can be very jarring and off-putting as a listener. However, the conversations have been very engaging and I’ve loved all of the interviews I’ve heard so far.

Ads
There are 4min or so of ads before the episode even starts. You’d think that would be so there wouldn’t be any during the show, but there’s still multiple ads directly in the middle and a few more minutes at the end. It gets worse if your listening to episodes one after the other, because you’re going to hear the same ads about 100 times.

Tooo many ads!!!!!!!! Love the show

Nothing but Ads
Not only are there too many ads, they are too long and completely random. Literally in the middle of a thought/sentence etc and right into an ad. They are not well placed or thought out and make this completely un-listenable.

The bad outweighs the great
Entertaining from the little bit I heard, but the AMOUNT and FREQUENCY of ads make it positively unlistenable. Sometimes ads not even 2 mins apart (!). A couple notches beyond ridiculous. Unfollowed. 😞

Great podcast
Actually deep dives into the office. Worth listening to.

Way too many ads
As other reviews have stated there is so many ads that it’s hard to listen to. Otherwise the content is good.

ADS
As others have said, the ads are insane. Poorly placed, disruptive, too many! Otherwise the content is good.

THE ADDDSSSSSS!!!!!
Look, Imma be honest here, this show is not really that good. I tried listening to the first episode, but I literally couldn’t get past 14:18 because of THE ADDDSSSSSS! I mean gosh dude can’t you edit properly? In my opinion the Office Ladies are WAYYYY better, because (unlike you), they have breaks about every 10 minutes (not 2), and they also tell you that they’re going to break! The do deep dive in the most random things, and sometimes it’s so freaking hilarious I have to turn it off and wait 5 minutes. So everybody, just go listen to people who what they’re doing. Look the fact is ( whether you accept or not), the ladies are a LOT better than him, so what are you waiting for? Go! 😎

Ads
Ads are way too frequent and not even properly edited into the podcast. (Ads start mid sentence). I can’t listen anymore for this reason.

Ads ads ads
Hard to get into the content with an ad every 5 minutes. Would have liked it otherwise…

Perfect if you like ads
It’s a testament to the quality of these interviews that I listend passed the first episode because there are SO MANY ADS which constantly interrupt the content.

Too many ads
So many ads and rarely actually about the office. Weird guests weird tangents. It’s sad to see the office actors desperate for some side cash seems like their selling their souls for ad casts. Just some excuse for them to have something to put ads in.
fuqurname
So many disrupting ads
Love to hear from people involved in the office, but can chill with the ads? Sometimes is every 2 minutes. Mid sentence! Nuts
Shinyoldwindow
Ads Galore
A million ads that start in the middle of sentences, sometimes in the middle of words. Is this truly the best we could do? Hard to listen to because I’m constantly skipping ads to get to content.
Dani0022
Great content, excellent interviews BUT way too many ads
I listen to podcasts of all genres daily and never ever had the infuriating experience of an ad every couple minutes. Just put them all together in middle and be done with it! Otherwise excellent material!

First episode has too many ad breaks
Great podcast but episode one every 5 mins is an ad break. Please fix this.
Derrickgott007
I want to like this more but the ads!!!
Literally mid sentence they come on. Multiple episodes. Repetitive. Wait for a break in the sentence at least. It makes it very difficult to listen to!
a much wiser girl
Great interviews but obnoxious, intrusive commercials
The interview content is fantastic! However there are so many commercials that cut in mid conversation that it really disconnects you from the content and makes it impossible to follow along. What a shame

Is there a tech error?
I am on the first episode and really enjoying it but I am 35 minutes in and already on my 4th ad break. It’s really weird, like one time they were talking for like 5 minutes before another ad came on, is this an error?. I listen to The Office Ladies Podcast and wanted to try this out and I actually really enjoy the difference of depth. Like this podcast gives you SO MUCH per person. Mind you, I can usually skip through the ads, but if I were driving and couldn’t, that would drive me crazy!

This makes me so happy!
I love hearing about all the funny moments behind the moments! But the ads attack you out of nowhere! Why not mixed in better?? And where is Idris Elba’s episode??
heififncoaoejend
I think there’s a show in there. Somewhere.
It’s one thing to have a podcast that has ads. It’s another thing to be essentially a series of ads with a little bit of podcast stuck in. The latter is what this show is. And off the cuff estimate would be that 20% of the show is commercials. Worse, when the ad breaks come they are haphazardly placed: mid-thought, mid-sentence, mid-word. Clearly iHeart has no respect for either Brian Baumgartner nor the listeners. They have turned the show into an insult to both.

Brian is the bomb, but…
Your iHeart commercial overlord needs to fix their ad system. I cannot deal with the same sandwich commercial for 2.75 minutes (in combination with other podcast adverts) every 7 minutes of content. That being said, I am binging it because I love the content, and I love, my dude, the moderator, the one and only Brian Baumgartner, and the rest of the office ensemble and crew. Those folks will always earn five stars. Simply due to the outrageous commercials, I dock two stars, you corporate overlords, who drive the ads. It’s noticeably a problem.
