Highs & Lows of Living Life on the Road w/ Kelsey Kohrs
Many nomadic professionals don’t share the real stories of pure frustration they experience while traveling. In this episode of The Nomadic Professional podcast, I welcome Kelsey Kohrs, Producer at Sweet Fish Media, to discuss the hardest parts of living an alternative lifestyle, as well as some of the fun, unexpected parts of living on the road. From being a dolphin trainer to selling her belongings and upgrading her car to an SUV to be able to work and travel with her Great Dane, Kelsey shares with us productivity and organization hacks for working while traveling and advice for dealing with loneliness on the road. She even describes some of the coolest places she’s lived pre-covid, from a treehouse in India to a catamaran in Fiji. She notes the importance of creating networks on your travels and tells a story about how she got really good at salmon fishing in Alaska. The main takeaway is this: You don’t really grow until you put yourself in uncomfortable situations. Are you willing to take the jump? -- Follow Kelsey on Instagram Connect with her on LinkedIn

Start with your “why” then your “how”... then prepare to face people who think you’re crazy, because you will! With their media production company funding their travels, Brandon and his family have seen 48 states and 29 of the 62 National Parks. Learning to let go of expectations and being okay with changing plans is important while living on the road, especially with family in the passenger seats! In this episode Brandon Cave, Owner, Healey Studios & Nomadic Souls Gear, and I discuss the benefits of traveling with children, the challenges they’ve had to overcome, and how his children are his biggest inspiration.
