Everyone. From day one. Everyone has a story to tell. The current focus of mine is training for the London Marathon. We have stories about running, stories about our loved ones, stories about our experience of cancer, and stories about things that interest us. I want to hear and share those stories, whilst out on a run.As I train for the marathon, friends and special guests will join me to run (or jog or walk) a mile and tell me a little bit of their story. Condensed into a tight nine minute episode, I hope to keep me and other listeners at a tantalising sub-four hour marathon pace. In October 2021 I have the ridiculous and frightening privilege to run through the iconic streets of London in order to raise money for the wonderful Macmillan Cancer Support, this year's official charity of the race. For many years, running has been a solo activity but as I raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support I want to share my love of running, learning and conversation with others. Over 26 weeks, 26 miles and 26 short conversations I hope listeners can be inspired to learn, donate, tell their own stories and perhaps even run. Donate to Macmillan Cancer Support at the Nine Minute Mile here: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/nineminutemile See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
