The regular season draws to a close on The NFL Blitz: the Kansas City Chiefs secure the one seed with a win over the Raiders, the Jags use their defence to beat the Titans and claim the AFC South, whilst the Dolphins claim the final AFC Wild Card spot after an uninspiring win over the Jets. In the NFC, the Seahawks get help from the Lions to claim the final Wild Card spot whilst the Eagles wrap up the one seed after a win against the Giants' third team. UPDATED 6 January In Week 17's NFL Blitz: the New York Giants make the playoffs for the first time since 2016 after demolishing the Indianapolis Colts 38-10, Brock Purdy and the 49ers make hard work of the Las Vegas Raiders but win 37-34, and the Packers keep their playoff hopes alive after demolishing the Vikings 41-17. Also on the pod: the Jets season comes to an end after a 23-6 loss to the Seahawks, the Buccaneers secure the NFC South, and the Eagles show the value of Jalen Hurts as they lose their second straight game.  Everything pails in comparison to Dumar Hamlin though, who suffered cardiac arrest in the Bills @ Bengals game, which was later cancelled by the NFL. Week 15 of the NFL was a bit weird and very entertaining: the Minnesota Vikings complete the biggest comeback in NFL history by beating the Indianapolis Colts after being 33-0 down, the Patriots have one of the dumbest plays of all time as they lose to the Las Vegas Raiders as time expires, and the Bills edge a narrow game against the Dolphins. Also on the pod: the Chiefs struggle but win against the Texans, the Jaguars stun the Cowboys with a walk-off pick six and the Broncos win an actual game of football.
