The Neoliberal Round Podcast is one year old This month! It was July 17th, 2021 that we did our first podcast episode on the anchor.fm platform. Today we have about 70 episodes and 3 seasons. We have grown over the weeks and months and have provided cutting edge content as we stay true to our goal of facilitating diversity but critical thinking and information through our news commentary and research that serves the world today to solve tomorrows challenges. We are ranking high as a top news commentary podcast all over that streams all over the world on six major streams including: Anchor.fm, spotify, apple podcast, radio public, Podvine, Google podcast, stitcher and now Amazon music and the Alexa app. We started out as an audio podcast but have added video which is available on some podcast episodes on Spotify. We have provided breaking news and had guests on the show from professors and academics to business professionals, politicians, musicians, a presidential candidate, artists, religious leaders and locals from every walk of life. We covered programs and shed light on issues, provided resources and talked about the issues that matter to you and society. We covered breaking news, the Ukraine invasion by Russia and provided information on opportunities and causes. Today’s episode is entitled: We Are One Year Old: Moore Threatens To Give Up US Citizenship Over Roe & “It’s Crazy What’s Happening in Philadelphia; Everybody is Dropping The Ball on their jobs!” We present these as two segments. But first we do another “Breaking The Ice” Segment with Donte Nelson as a warm up excercise that you can participate in. We then go into Segment one entitled: And there are those like Michael Moore who can afford to give up their US citizenship but most are not as privileged to do so. The New York Post said that Michael Moore “vows to give up his ‘privileges’ of US citizenship…” (@nypost via Twitter — see the NY Post article here https://nypost.com/2022/07/05/michael-moore-pens-woke-independence-day-declaration/). I responded: This is Nonesense! Doesn’t he still have his #whiteprivilege after he gives up his so-called privilege of #uscitizenship? That trumps all privileges. And maybe he should instead use the power that comes with his US citizenship privilege to undo the practice of (white) privilege. ‬In order to help fight to end slavery, the abolitionists did not abandon their fealty or esteemed positions, but used it cleverly to support the emancipation of slavery—A practice that was ambivalent to their declared independence that all men are made equal, free and have the rights to life, self government, independence pursuit of happiness and rights to life. But for Moore, his rant and threats to give up his us citizenship stems from his anger surrounding the conservative values that are imposing on liberal values, and to add insult to injury, the Supreme Court overturned Roe and seem to be teetering towards more injunctions that may overturn more liberal values.
