Melissa is a PR expert, entrepreneur and passionate curvy girl who took all of her skills, creativity and drive and started an awesome side-hustle, Curves Ahead. Curves Ahead is a local, grassroots effort to provide more opportunities from women who identify as plus-size. The body positivity movement has gained a lot of momentum in big cities, but Melissa noticed her community could use some of that same positivity.
Melissa drops some great insight about what it's like to start a creative endeavor while balancing a full time job. We also discuss why it is totally cool to keep your day job. We talk about the importance of community and why it's OK for some spaces to not be "for everyone."
