Dual-Sporting Through Life's Terrain with Adventure Rider Galnoosh Namazi
Today we're joined by Galnoosh Namazi, an avid adventure motorcyclist, based in Terrace British Columbia whose life story resonates with the essence of a Dual-Sport adventure. Just as a Dual-Sport bike confronts and adapts to varied terrains, G's journey through life reflects a similar adaptability and courage. Her experiences are a testament to navigating through life's paved paths and its rough, plus her willingness to explore less-traveled trails with equal dexterity and enthusiasm. In this episode you'll gain valuable takeaways. G shares the importance of gripping the handlebars of your life firmly. Just as a motorcyclist must make active decisions on the road, in life, we must take accountability for our choices and the direction we're heading. She also inspires us with her willingness to confront and overcome challenges. It's about viewing each challenge not as a roadblock but as an opportunity for growth and learning. This is The Motovation#womenwhoride #motogirl #motorcyclepodcast

Ride Your Own Ride
In the riding community, the mantra "Ride Your Own Ride" is often repeated. This saying holds the essence of individuality, emphasizing that personal choices of how you take to the road is yours and yours alone for better or worse. It's also a reminder that each rider must chart their own course, a journey that evolves over time but remains uniquely theirs to navigate. Being an authentic rider goes beyond choosing the right bike, speed, route, terrain, and destination—it's a personal commitment driven by individual preferences and motivations. This ethos extends into the broader context of our lives, where we continually discover what resonates deeply within us, aligning with the core of our authentic selves and how we move through this life. Living authentically transcends trends; it's a dynamic and transformative journey that requires sacrifices and a willingness to embrace uncertainties. It involves navigating the moments when we realize our well worn path might not align with our true selves, mirroring the daily encounters where we uncover what truly makes us tick. This episode explores the nature of authenticity, recognizing that it's not just about staying true to yourself but also adapting and responding to the ever-changing environments and relationships around you.In our discussion, we'll delve into Merriam-Webster's word of the year for 2023, 'Authentic.' We'll unpack its beauty and complexity, exploring the nuances of living authentically. Because, ultimately, it's not just about reaching a destination; it's about crafting a life that resonates with the distinct roar of your own engine and acknowledging the sacrifices that often accompany that journey. Welcome to "Ride Your Own Ride."#motivation #authenticity #lifeadvice

Bikes to Butterflies
Life is a highway, and, much like a motorcycle cruising along, we traverse various stages of growth and change. Similar to a caterpillar, there are moments when we feel confined and restricted, prompting us to wrap ourselves in a cocoon of introspection and self-discovery. It is during these times that we shed our old beliefs, habits, and limitations. Some individuals may remain within their cocoon for extended periods, spanning months, years, or even a lifetime. Some may retreat back to the perceived comforts of their caterpillar stage. However, for those who manage to persevere, we gain the ability to emerge from our cocoon with newfound strength, resilience, and wisdom. Like a butterfly taking its inaugural flight, we unfurl our wings, revealing a beautiful, transformed version of ourselves. In this episode, we delve into the caterpillar cocoon and butterfly stage of life, igniting the engines of personal growth and embracing the journey of self-discovery.

The Cycle of Target Fixation
In the world of motorcycles, target fixation occurs when a rider becomes overly focused on something they perceive as dangerous or distracting. Instead of avoiding it, they end up unintentionally steering towards it or other hazards they might not have initially noticed.Similarly, in life, we often find ourselves fixating on things that don't serve us. We get caught up in constant or repetitive thoughts that revolve around perceived mistakes, negative situations, or even self-criticism. This cycle can have a negative impact on our mood and drain our energy significantly. On today's episode, we're going to delve into the topic of ruminating thoughts. We'll take a closer look at what they are, why they occur, and most importantly, how you can break free from this cycle. By disrupting the pattern of rumination, you can ensure that your energy is directed towards things that truly benefit you, rather than being poured into something that holds you back.
