Melinda interviews Mer to get her take on dating in your 40's as a single mama.

On this episode we are talking all things holidays, vacations, first time experiences and how its easy to feel jealous, sad and resentful...I mean we are human. But, there are ways to make it through so its easier on you and more importantly your kiddos.

Yes, we get funny looks and more often than not are privately asked, “you guys actually get along??”  I can’t speak for Mer, but my response to that is, “we are friends, so at the very least we get along”. Mer, by the way, is Meredith, Mark’s ex- wife, but far better known as the kindest, most thoughtful, resilient, strong, beautiful, blue-eyed and stylish, mama to my step-mama. It's unconventional, the two of us.  I suspect some find it odd that we often get drinks together, schedule brunches, DM random dog posts, and mutually share links to cute Amazon finds or shops we like. I guess it would be weird to think that the first person I texted when Betty White died was Mer and she shared her devastation of Bob Saget’s untimely death with me.
