Did Ric Blum leave the first review? Hubris? Self importance? What podcast was the person listening to? Sally lost her mother, was lied to and dismissed by the authorities, lost her brother, lost the support of her mother’s family. She’s still being let down by the authorities. I don’t understand the adversarial attitude of the authorities in New South Wales police (if the police don’t like podcasts, then they should do a little more investigating). This is just a generalization I know but it seems the attitude of police in several Australian police departments is that women don’t deserve respect, they’re don’t matter, women are expendable, flighty, and based on police theories, there must be a lot of female populated communes around Australia. Sally is an incredibly strong woman and persevered to get her mother’s case to where it is. Changing names, liver tests, knowledge of poisoning, going in and out of countries with rare coins and tea chests….What an elaborate, deliberate, meticulously premeditated con this man perpetrated so clearly he had practiced and successfully harmed numerous times before he met Marion. And he’s free to keep up his cons? Is anyone monitoring him? Terrifying.

I listen to you and wish you were in the US. My uncle went missing in the mid 70’s and my mother died never knowing what happened. I have no idea how to research this in the insane country in which I live.

A combination of utter naivety, self-importance, and hubris.
