This week the show is a bit different! I don't have a guest as such; the interview is concierged in a way to create a virtual interview. Why? Well, I wanted you to hear words of wisdom from the legend that is Eric Ries, the man behind the Lean Startup movement and without whom this show - and doubtless many hundreds of thousands of startups and unicorns - wouldn't exist. To try and lure Eric on such a new podcast just isn't realistic, so this is an experiment - if this show performs well it'll be great evidence to go to the great man himself and convince him to come on. That's the theory.

Martin interviews Baptiste Jamin, the founder and CEO of Crisp, the customer messaging app for startups and SMEs. They cover a bunch of topics, such as: the mistakes to avoid when releasing the first version of your product, the difference between a Minimum Viable Product and a Minimum Loveable Product, and how they made the most of their early adopters to be ready for an unexpected overnight success story, growing from strength to strength ever since.

Hi! I'm Martin, a product guy and startupper who loves talking about making digital products - especially those critical early stages when you go from something to nothing. I'll be talking to all kinds of startup founders and product people to hear their experiences of building and shipping the first release.
The Minimum Viable Show is itself a kind of Minimum Viable Product, aiming to deliver the maximum amount of value to the listener in the most efficient way - so the episodes will be short enough for you to find the time to listen to, but packed full of ideas and takeaways to inspire you.
