John Hemings (1566-1630) and Henry Condell (1576-1627) are two names that you may not recognise but are two names that are fundamentally responsible for Shakespeare's surviving works. Together they collated the great bard's plays into the very first folio in 1623, 7 years after the death of William Shakespeare.
