I wrote this piece while waiting in the car with my two dogs while my husband was having an MRI and follow-up with his doctor. He's been having some hip pain. I was in the car with the dogs for several hours and when I have a little extra time on my hands, I usually am drawn to write something. This particular poem is about a difficult relationship.
