Should-be Norm Smith Medallist and Premiership hero, Xavier Ellis (who is now the ever popular breakfast radio show host on Hit92.9), cruised to his front porch with an ice-cold stubbie to enlighten the Metres Gained Podcast of his footy/comedic wisdom. Ellis speaks about his elite draft company back in the '05 draft, as well as the comings of Alistair Clarkson. Even though Ellis preferred Jim Beams over frothies, he eventually came to his senses and excels at drinking beers post footy. The MG team cover off on the Hawks' crazy 2008 season that ended in the premiership, including the exact time and 3 words (or not) that Clarko said to the boys that made them all believe. Believe in the X-Man is all that needs to be known, as he is a genuinely a hilarious and top bloke with unbelievable footy talent over the healthier 120 games of his career.

A Thursday night affair for two MG regulars and a debutant. Cory Wasser joins the Metres Gained Podcast for his first episode, the avid Bombers supporter brings a new light to the chaotic MG scene. This weeks episodes covers a number for trending subjects including the sacking of Alan Richardson, the rise of both the Blues and TIgers, but equally the fall of the Pies and the Giants (besides the Giants massive win in Round 17). Statistics are the forefront of the episode as we discuss turnovers leading to score and pressure points - some damning stats on both sides. Greg "Diesel" Williams is one of the greatest players to every grace the footy fields. Diesel had his fair share of roadblocks, being cut twice by the Blues before storming onto the scene with a 38 dispsal effort for the Cats. The 3 club, 250 game champion went on to create one of the most storied careers of all time.  Diesel discussed with Samson & Jez the current elite players he mentors, some major differences to the footy landscape he played in, of course some unheard of locker room banter and more outlandish stories.
