In our season 3 finale we have special guest Victoria Peña. Victoria talks about overcoming obstacles from childhood, adolescence, and adulthood and how God lovingly and patiently pursued her in every situation and circumstance. He has demonstrated His love through her relationship with her husband who has loved her despite her refusal to love him back and rejection. But he wouldn’t give up hope and in a moment of clarity Victoria decided to be obedient to God in spite of her feelings, and God came through. They now serve God together in marriage ministry and are more in love than ever. If you are feeling defeated in an area of your life, try it God’s way! Singleness is not an excuse for selfishness. Our sweet guest Samantha Scarpa shares her singleness journey and how she’s able to devote her life to growing relationship with Christ while waiting on her special guy. You may be in between relationships, divorced, never married and maybe you’re never planning to marry; regardless, this episode is good food for the soul. We were created to worship with or without a spouse. Married life isn’t the only way to have a blessed life. There is so much God wants to do in each and every one of us in each and every season of our lives. You can still be fruitful while you’re single.

In Part One we discussed how to cope during our struggle and how to view hardships in a more healthy way. During Part Two, we will take a look into the book of Job and take a 3 part perspective of God, Job and Job’s friends; it’s the 3 view points we have labeled The Sovereign (God), the Afflicted (Job) and the Doubters (Job’s wife and friends). When facing hardship we need the Word of God and the power of praying friends and family. We were never made to suffer alone. But we need people in our lives that are going to be in unity with God on our behalf. As we dive into the book of Job, we see how the people he needed most, weren’t the most encouraging. Job himself lost the ability to hope at times. His wife told him to curse God and die. Job felt the heaviness of suffering and wanted answers when what he needed was for God to embrace him in the midst of his pain. He needed friends to lament with him and point him to the Lord instead of away from Him. Who are your friends during the tough seasons? Are they prayer warriors or doubters? Do you acknowledge God as the One True Sovereign God? Do you trust Him in the midst of all your personal chaos? Friends, God is faithful! He will never contradict Himself nor will He ever forsake you. We all suffer but God has a message for us in those hard times. It’s our faith that brings us close to know more of who He is focusing on Him instead of what we want Him to do for us.

He shows us how to have a true work/life balance by creating the earth in six days and declaring the seventh a day of rest. Life can be so fast paced and rest usually takes a backseat, but we can trust in God’s plan. So take a break with us as we explore what it truly means to Rest in Jesus.

Suffering is not generally associated with blessings. In fact, it’s often believed if you’re suffering you’re not blessed. The purpose of this episode is to debunk that theory. When we are hurting it can be challenging to look at it as a gift or even see brighter days ahead. The truth is, struggles no matter how big or small come to us more as an inconvenience than anything. But with God no pain is ever wasted. No hardship goes unnoticed. As Christians our suffering is refinement. It’s an opportunity for God to show us compassion and love for us. It’s also His way of showing up in ways only He can. In part 1 of this episode Alexis and Berly discuss three main points of suffering: 1. It’s not personal 2. Don’t keep it to yourself 3. God is revealing more of Himself to you If we shift our perspective of suffering in this light, we will understand God so much better in tough times. Let’s face it, we will all go through or have gone through difficult times, it’s almost inevitable. But going through life with God is way better than going through life without Him.

Have you ever felt like God broke a promise? We’re you ever in a position that you believed God would make it all better, but your situation got worse? Well, Pastor Patricia Davis was in that position when she suddenly found herself in the middle of a divorce with 3 children and a career change making significantly less money. Patricia tested God with her finances, expecting God to fail her. What she actually found was that God was her provider and He had been faithful in the past, present, and future. On our season finale we discuss the absolute truth that Jesus is the only way to salvation with our special guest Karina Nardi. Karina is currently a missionary in the Dominican Republic and has experience with syncretism. Syncretism is the intermingling of different belief systems. Many times when we come to Jesus we bring our world views with us and try to fit our narrative into the word of God, but He makes all things new. We must be willing to take God’s word as it is. The truth that sets us free but can be hard to digest at times. We pray that this episode equips you with the truth of God’s word and brings freedom to the areas of your life that may need it.

Our co-host Berly gives us some insight into her past battles with fear and anxiety. We discuss the role that social media plays into our fears and insecurities and can be destructive when we are not careful to filter it through God’s will. By the grace of God, Berly was able to overcome the spirit of fear that tormented her and it propelled her into pursuing true freedom in Christ for others around her as well.

In this episode, our special guest Manny Washington, takes us through his life and recounts his rebellion with God and how it left him sick, broken, and empty. God took Manny through a process of forgiveness, healing, and restoration that allowed him to encounter the love of God and it changed everything. He lived a wild life but God was ever-present through it all and never gave up, not for one moment. Where are you today? Do you feel like you’ve gone too far to come back to God?
