In this week's episode Valarie Winn continues the conversation about Being Black in America.  Along with her husband who is on the video version of the podcast, they take a deep dive into unpacking all of the "Eclipse of Will Smith" and the healing balm of Black Love from their perspectives. They understand that what happened at the Oscars is deeper than what we have all seen on the surface and they took an introspective approach to analyze what happened, why it happened, and how we should move forward. 

It’s like Jay-Z said, “No One Wins When the Family Feuds” and there were so many wins that were eclipsed by the actions of one man. He even eclipsed his own achievement. While Will took home the Academy Award for Best Actor, it didn’t feel like it and to some it felt like we've  lost some ground. However, the Winns debunked all of that by having a candid discussion about the incident and providing a RESET for the image of Black Excellence, by showing support and grace for Chris, Will, and Jada.
