MMM - Episode 3 - Good Days
In today's episode of the Maybe Tomorrow Podcast, the host, Jyvon Alderman talks about SZA. She is also a role model to many people that have been discouraged throughout their life because of the hardships she went through when she was growing up. She dropped out of college and decided to pursue music and has made a career out of it. She's released songs like broken clocks, the weekend, and my personal favorite, Good Days, that has helped many people to get through obstacles in life. Sza tries to be true to herself, and stay humble and her actions, personality, and humbleness will carry on with me throughout adulthood to remind me to be true to myself. With that being said I wanted to share a couple of lines from her song, Good Days, that says:Half of us layin' waste to our youth, is in the presentHalf of us chasin' fountains of youth and it's in the present nowShe sings it a lot better, but those words man, they are incredibly powerful and serve's as a reminder to put aside any fear or nervousness that you have regarding expectations or ideas of the future, and focus on the now and focusing on the now is so important considering the state of our world. You can catch this 2-3 minute episode wherever you get your podcasts, every other Monday for the foreseeable future. Episode 2: How To Manage Burnout
On today's episode of the Maybe Tomorrow Podcast, I figured its time to have a conversation about burnout. It’s running rampant in America and its impacting a lot of us, including myself. Unfortunately, this past weekend’s reheated meal resulted in an unexpected allergic reaction, but instead of being down for the count, I figured I’d roll with the punches. Please try to ignore the salivation, and shortness of breath, but I still needed to get today’s episode recorded and published. So what can we do about it, if anything at all? Well listen in to hear some statistics on burn out, some common symptoms, and my thoughts on things you can do to help manage and improve it over time. These tips aren’t anything new, but when we’re burntout, a reminder of those may be the push we need… and that’s what I’m here to help you out with. If you've been enjoying this podcast episode please share, subscribe, and leave a review. In today's episode of the maybe tomorrow podcast, the host me, Jyvon Alderman introduces a new segment called, Mini Motivational Mondays, why? Well, 58% of Americans picked Monday as their least favorite day of the week, and to combat that, I figured why not try and help motivate others by sharing a motivational quote from some of my favorite motivational speakers, authors, and philosophers. You can catch this 2-3 minute episode wherever you get your podcasts, every Monday for the foreseeable future. If you've enjoyed this podcast episode please share, subscribe, and leave a review.
