Idiots
As a woman, I can’t possibly recommend that any males listen to thi garbage. These kids have been polluted by the destructive misogynist nature of the culture. Ugh. And they sound stupid to boot.

Chore to listen to
There is some genuinely good actionable advice in here but the host is insufferable. He is completely in love with himself and he's constantly interjecting just to remind us how high his IQ is, and how he does crossfit, and BJJ and sleeps with 3 girls a day. Also I am not a scientist but some of the "science" they talk about sounds dubious and it has a lot of critics so it kind of has to be taken with a grain of salt. And maybe it's just me but I do not find Joe relatable at all, and I have a feeling most of the people who actually need a show like this don't either.

Listen at Your Own Risk
The science sounds mostly right and this would have been a good podcast if Tucker would stop talking over people and saying how great he is at almost everything. The book was good but the podcast was definitely a let down. If I can give you any advice, it would be to read the book.

This advice WORKS.
I don’t know what your opinion on Tucker Max is, but if you don’t mind him then this podcast (along with their book) is an invaluable tool for you to use incorporating into your everyday life. Geoffrey can get lost in the weeds sometimes and Tucker seems to be using this as an outlet to brag. However I found the info Geoffrey said fascinating more often than not and MOST of the time if Tucker is telling us about a woman he hooked up with it is to illustrate an important point. And I can say that following their advice has worked for me, but you do have to put it into practice. It’s not hard and the advice that they give and suggestions they make are so easy to implement. Listen to this podcast and read their book. They are both amazing resources.

literally the most pathetic show ever.
sooo bad fo not listen. WILDLY inappropriate and inaccurate.

This show is bogus
As a woman listening to the “what women want in a man” episode. I can’t stop laughing. Guys don’t listen to this garbage.

Most down to earth information you will ever hear on this subject!!
Tucker and company have absolutely killed it with this podcast! So refreshing to hear such honesty.

Truly Insightful
I honestly couldn't describe how much of an impact this podcast has had on my view on women, myself, and the world at large. Unlike many of the opportunistic "self-help" or dating coaches you're bound to come across, I completely trust Tucker, Dr. Miller, and the panel of guests on this series. I say this because at no point to I feel like I'm being sold any product or am having my arm twisted to believe the message they're attempting to get across. Rather, the hosts are thorough, direct, and well-researched, presenting the findings of themselves and fellow experts in the evolutionary psychology and human behavior fields. A solid helping of humor makes the show relatable and listenable, yet there is never an episode where I don't leave feeling I haven't learned something new and important. I rated this podcast 5 stars and it deserved every one of them.

This is like a $3000 course that's free!
This podcast is more helpful then many pickup artist courses that sell for $300, $500, $1000. Why? Because they're honest and telling the truth.

Best dating podcast of all time
This podcast has helped me psychologically in more ways than I could have ever thought. I have been consuming dating advice from all sources for years and years. This blows it all out of the water with its myth busting science. So sad it ended but they did their job. -Will Chou

Guys, please don't listen to ONLY these dudes
This podcast is good for entertainment and for getting some common-sense ideas to help you become more well rounded. You'll also have to listen to Tucker talk about the women he can get that you can't and Dr. Miller tell you why science says you're undesirable. Do some reading on evolutionary bio/psych and its criticisms before you make Miller your love guru. And remember that part of dating is finding a woman who is a good fit for you. The conversations on this podcast could benefit from having more input from female guests.

When Did 'Mating Grounds' turn into 'Joe's Life Coaches'?
Before the 'Helping Joe' segment, or even durig the beginnings of it, this was much anticpated podcast download. I orginally liked the podcast from a larger, worldly point of view - of learning, improving interpersonal relationships, psychology, etc. However, now (at least as of 01/2016 or 10/2015 when I stopped listening) the podcast should be re-labeld "Joe and His Life Coaches" podcast. I do not identifiy with Joe at all and I am no longer interested. I can understand how the Mating Grounds original format and the 'Helping Joe' format would fit the same demographic, but there is no longer enough useful information packed into an hour+ long episode of 'Joe' to warrant my attention. Noticable, significant self-improvement takes a long time. Watching such improvement on a week by week basis is boring. Give me knowledge and information that is useful and entertaining (like before) and whose subject is not frustrating to listen to.

The podcast is full of wisdom and down to earth common sense. Evolutionary Psychology is such a intriguing topic and Professor Miller is hands down a giant in the topic. Great stuff, and Mate is a powerhouse of a book with the mating grounds podcast is a cornerstone for the 21st century relationship advise.

Used to be good
Before Joe I would recommend them to anyone. They actually had great content. Even helping Joe find women was good stuff. Now it seems like they bring him on once a week to laugh at him and make him the brunt of their jokes. This podcast has run its course. Time to quit while you're kind of ahead or find a new gimmick. I'm sure Tucker will say I'm wrong when he reads this because he is always correct.

I never write comments but...
I was listening to Helping Joe 37 and my face hurt from laughing so hard at the over dramatization of Joe's journal entry. Seriously, if you don't have time to listen to them walk the path with Joe, just listen to this episode for the sheer comedy! Apart from that though, the whole series and the Mate book are really good for guys that want to work on their inner game and keep the quality women that are sticking around. This is not for guys who just want to score notches; watch RSD videos if you want to hack a woman's psyche for that.

If only I’d had this when I was 18
When I was a teenager, just trying to figure things out, there weren’t any guides for young men. What Tucker and Dr. Miller have created in The Mating Grounds is the guide I never had and always wanted.

Learned and grew more than could ever have imagined
I don't understand how this podcast could receive so much hate. As a respected engineer with an already average & successful sex and relationship life by 29, this podcast still took me up an extra few notches and now I've got a male & female peer-rated 10 girlfriend in looks, humor, and business success. The evolutionary and social psych lessons throughout are without a doubt worth truly understanding and practicing for improving all manner of interactions. I can now notice all of the subtle interaction cues that everyone around me misses like when watching my friends talk with women, proven by simple discussions w them afterwards and them being baffled. If you have doubt, just listen to the Helping Joe series and that kid's progression in just 6 months.

ABSOLUTELY MUST LISTEN! For Young Men With Girl Troubles!
Tucker Max is my favorite follow/role model! He is hilarious, honest, experienced. He is joined by several great contributors as well in Charlie Hoehn, Dr. Geoff Miller, and Dr. Carin Perilloux. I cannot get enough of this content. I devour these episodes as soon as they are released. I could listen for days, no lie! No exaggeration.

Change for the Better
I would walk around afraid of life, afraid of those around me, and afraid to be that charismatic person that I'd watch at the end of the bar surrounded by other charismatic people wishing that could be me someday. From listening to this podcast, I've learned that I could be one of those people, full of confidence, smiles and people that enjoy my company. It's about being becoming a genuine, good human being. Not only is it for women, but also for the people closest to you. It's gotten me closer to my family and best friends. Thanks

Harsh Truth, Shameless Self-Promotion
We are now on episode 20 of “The Mate Preview”, a 20+ episode series on why you should buy Tucker’s new book - a complete waste of time. We get it, man. We really do. There was some really good advice in some of the earlier episodes, but most of it boils down to “Be normal, respect yourself, recognize your success, and repeat”. While I really respect Tucker’s anti-pickup attitude, I feel like most of this advice is reserved for the most bottom-of-the-barrel men in the dating world.

Invaluable Podcast
There are many dating or PUA podcasts, and while The Mating Grounds podcasts has some similarities to those, it is both better than and different from them in many ways. First, it brings the scientific knowledge Professor Geoffrey Miller has of attraction and mating from years of scholarly work and reading as well as—how should I put this?—the considerable practical experience Tucker Max has accrued through his many hook-ups and relationships chronicled in his best-selling books. This is an excellent pairing because it allows them to place the findings from the scientific literature in conversation with real-world mating, dating, and attraction situations. Some commentators have said that if scientific knowledge helped guys attract women, many young men who are into science would have no problem picking-up women. But are they reading evolutionary psychology and allied work? No, they’re probably immersed in physics, engineering, or computer science, which is not the same sort of science at all. Also, some in the PUA reference evolutionary psychology, but don’t really understand it (the total misunderstanding of “peacocking” is a classic example). Professor Miller is an expert in the science—indeed, he did some of the groundbreaking research or advised students who have. My only complaint is that this podcast wasn’t available when I was in my teens and 20s!

Very relatable and helpful advice for men of all ages
I am currently in a very healthy relationship with a woman I've been dating for ten months now that showed me this podcast. I've been hooked since the first episode of helping joe and have gone through the rest of their podcasts. They are very good at explaining the psychology behind actions we do as men that can help or inhibit your relationships whether it's your dating, social, or professional life. They have different series such as helping joe, bad advice from the Internet, and even take questions from the listeners. This is better than any PUA garbage out there on the Internet.

I'm a lady and I love this podcast
Advice from a group of people who really care about social interaction and behaviors. This podcast address a lot of social aspects mainly focusing on dating for men but I enjoy the banter and advice that Tucker and Charlie give. It's very funny and relatable. I recommend this to all of my guy friends.

Wisdom
i am not sure why there are a lot of haters here but i really think that most guys can benefit from the information here and it is often filled with funny content so it doesn't come off as textbook and stuff haha. Try it out first its great one of my favorite podcasts they cite real science and bring in phd's.

These guys are doing all men a huge favor a providing down to earth, practical, real advice! And they are funny! I've learned so much. Can't understand the bad reviews at all in here.

Read this, ignore the one star haters
First off, most of the one star reviews are from a group of Pick up Artists that were mad because the podcast criticized their approach to dating. This is an amazing podcast. Tucker Max creates episodes that are academic and very informative, while being hilarious and real at the same time. The information in this podcast is backed by science and experience… not simply by Tucker’s wild past. Hands down, this is one of my favorite podcasts. p.s. Helping Joe is the best segment of the podcast. I look forward to hearing Joe’s stories every week and the advice that hen gets back. Its make the information that much more relatable. Keep up the good work Mating Grounds

Highly recommended
I don't have a large sample of podcasts to compare from. However after listening to this podcast for almost a year now, I can see clear results in my thinking and actions. The podcast re-angled my skewed view of women, dating, and relationships. Worth a listen.

I can't think of a title good enough for this podcast.
These men; Tucker Max, Nils, Dr. Miller and Charlie Hoehn are doing doing an incredible service for men of all backgrounds. They are compassionate and kind, and deliver advice intelligently and authentically. This podcast is changing my life. I'm so grateful for the time they put into this. Please disregard the negative reviews. This is not a pick up artist podcast, this is a human being podcast. I'm becoming a better man from listening to this podcast because it's almost impossible to listen to this and not be encouraged. Thank you Mating Grounds team. Go Joe!

Fascinating
I'm a female and this podcast fascinates me. It is interesting to know what goes through a guys mind when it comes to dating. I had no idea that Tucker was famous before he mentioned it, so I enjoy this podcast based on the content itself.

Tremendously Helpful
Tucker and Dr. Miller have really hit their stride and I’m not at all surprised by how well the podcast is doing. They obviously focus primarily on dating, but everything is predicated on building a full, healthy life. It’s not about deceiving or objectifying women, but rather becoming the best person you can be and in doing so learning to present yourself accurately, honestly, and effectively to women, which will allow you to enter it enjoyable and worthwhile relationships. I can’t recommend this podcast enough.

Great podcast
This is a no-nonsense podcast for guys who haven't had the right dating and life advice given to them. I've been a fan of Tucker's for years and it has been interesting to see how he's gone from party animal to becoming a caring human being. He's not in this for the money- he's got that nailed- he's doing this because he's identified a need in society and is helping address it, and is doing a great job at it. Keep up the good work.

Episode 7 of helping Joe is what's wrong with American men
Been enjoying the podcast but episode 7 of helping joe was by far the most helpful thing for guys in our generation to hear. I know for myself I have the same problem as joe and blow things off because I'm scared of getting hurt or rejected. I think this is what drives the manosphere into thinking that it is an "us vs them" game - the fear of being vulnerable literally scares them so much they make up routines so if they fail they can blame the routine and save their feelings. Amazing episode and it made me actively start thinking of ways to combat my fear of vulnerability. Many thanks!

I think it's great.
While I don't agree with all of their conclusions I think it's still pretty solid.

My Favorite Podcast
Every day I look forward to hearing a new episode of this podcast on my way to work. I've got to say, this is the best podcast I've heard on relationship/dating. Compared to other podcasts on the subject, the advice is the most actionable and it's not full of general, unhelpful advice like "Just be confident." I'm really happy with the work you, Tucker and Dr. Miller, are doing and I look forward to your upcoming book.

Very Informative
I find it sad that people are rating this poorly because it advocates for men to treat women with respect, and somehow being a decent human being is considered "too P.C." I've never gotten into any of the other podcasts or readings on the topic because so many out there are run by people who are sociopaths or scam artists. Personally I find this podcast very informative and love how they don't focus on 'tricks' or 'methods', but instead focus on ways to improve yourself. I think tha'ts the other reason this podcast doesn't resonate with a lot of reviewers on here. They want to blame anyone but themselves for their lack of success, and can't handle the idea they are the problem that needs to be solved.

Awesome Sauce!
This podcast is great, easily one of my favorites. It's funny, entertaining, and actually pretty motivational. I'd recommend to any and all guys who think they're having problems with the fairer sex.

The best podcast out there
This is really the only podcast I'm subscribed to. It's a blend of funny and educational. If only there were more like this
Flyinhawaiian58
Disappointing.
I thought it might be good and well-grounded in science due to the presence of an academic, but they cover very old ground (at least in internet years). You get the sense that it's a business venture and not a work of real passion. They're not deliberately condescending, but they're imagined audience is a dope who has never investigated any of these issues (confidence, attractiveness, flirting, etc.) on their own. Maybe it'll evolve into something good, but for now, there's nothing here for me. Perhaps if you're already a fan of Tucker Max, you'll enjoy it. I didn't have feelings either way towards the guy, and after giving this a try, I'm going to unsubscribe.

LOVE THIS PODCAST!!!
This podcast is such a breath of fresh air compared to most other relationship sex podcasts for men. Their advice makes sense, and is backed up by science. You will learn so much from this podcast, it was such a godsend.

Good for any man or woman
I've never been tempted to write a review until I read the hate from some other reviewers. This podcast is for men to better themselves which in turn will improve their confidence and success with woman. This podcast is for anyone who needs that extra push to improve their lives in some way. If you are perfect person, confident, and in the place you want to be in life then it is not the podcast for you. Thanks, Tucker and crew for an excellent podcast.

Good and Bad
I think the most annoying thing about this podcast is Tucker Max' enormous ego. He loves to put other guys down, put his audience down, and basically tell everyone how great he is. Even when he has his friends or people he likes on the show, he'll do subtle digs or backhanded compliments. For example, he had Jordan Harbinger (who's been a running the Art of Charm for 10 years, and he's one of the few guys that Tucker actually likes) on the show and Tucker said, "I know Jordan actually cares, like he cares about the right things and he’s trying to do the right things. You can argue over whether he’s effective sometimes. That’s a different discussion, though. Like is it good is a different discussion from like is this person scamming me." (Notice the backhanded compliment? He's saying that Jordan isn't a scamming men, but he's suggesting that Jordan isn't giving good advice.) I think the words "I think I'm so much better than everybody else" runs through Tucker Max' mind continuously. I would hate to be Tucker's friend because I know he'd always find subtle ways to put his friends down and make sure everybody (especially his friends) knows that he's the undisputed alpha male of the group. I'd write a much longer review, but none of my past (longer) reviews of this podcast have shown up.
