Today we're tackling the discussion of whether or not Judas Iscariot was truly evil in betraying Jesus or did he have a secret pact with Jesus to betray him because Jesus knew it's the only way to go? OOOOOOOOR Is it something else entirely! I'm going to talk through today why I don't think Judas BETRAYED Jesus. But more importantly than that, I want to discuss why I think that matters! At the end of the day, we'll never truly be certain of anyone's intentions 2000 years ago. But I would like to find the example and what we can learn from each story we find in the Bible so that we can get to know the Heart of God better and better!

We seems to be at an all time high for bickering among believers. We seem to not be able to get along. I've drawn harder lines. Built bigger walls. What are we going to do about this? Jesus tells us that the world will know that we are his disciples by our LOVE for one another. I believe we need to give each other a little more grace. We'll be diving into a couple of passages from the New Testament that points out how we are all the body. If we give each other the grace to operate in each the mission and calling each of us has been given. We need to trust each other to be following in the Spirit to see Jesus lifted up to draw everyone to him!

Today we're talking about 2 Chronicles 7:14 and how misinterpreted verse. Churches love quoting this but in most contexts people mean that if EVERYONE ELSE will follow the verse THEN God will heal our land. But we can't control what others do. We can only control ourselves. When we approach this verse, we need to make sure that we apply it to ourselves first!

Today we're talking about how to battle negative thoughts. I have suffered a lot of my life having negative thoughts about myself. Maybe you can relate. I've felt like I've spent more time sliding down a hill than gaining ground going up a hill. I've been struggling to find a battle ground for fighting this negative inner monologue. And I've gained some ground more recently and I want to share with you some ideas that have helped me. Hopefully it helps you too!

Today we're going to DIVE into controversy and discuss what socially acceptable sin is killing the church right now! I halfheartedly apologize for the click bait title. I don't know what all you assumed I would be talking about but something that I've been convicted about recently is how much we hide ourselves at church. How many times we answer a polite question with a polite answer. How many time we ask ONLY polite questions to tick the box of checking in on someone. And all of that masking, is actually a lie. We practice these deceptions regularly. Of course, I don't mean we should be brutally honest in telling everything we are thinking about. That isn't always TRUTH. It's our judgement, but it's not always truth. We need to find the areas of our shame and root them out so that we can stop hiding. We can stop walking in deception. We've created a system of hiding behind masks because it's too messy to be seen in any other capacity, yet, we want people to know us, while hiding away, unable to be known. Let's start digging into our story and help others get free of their shame and live whole and free of our past!

We've been talking about dreams and having a vision for your future. But how do you know which path to take. How do you know which path to go down. Today we're talking about one of the best places to start! Taking a look at Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us that if we acknowledge the Great I AM in all our ways, he will make our paths straight, he'll guide our path. But we have to look back and see what he's done in our past to find the his finger prints so we can start recognizing what he's doing now and where he's leading us for the future.

Today we're discussing a poor mentality that's been holding me back. Have you ever been playing a video game and you've saved your special move for just the right time and then you never ended up using it? Well, I've been realizing that I've lived too much of my life like that, where I've saved ideas and dreams and opportunities for later when I'm better at my skill or job or know what I'm doing. Today we're discussing a very fresh thing in my life. As my wife and I have been struggling with actions to take and directions to go, God has showed us that our hearts are rooted in going away FROM somethings in our lives. We know what we DON'T want, but we don't have a clear vision for what we DO want. God is calling us and challenging us to dream, have some visions, and pick a goal to start heading towards with Intentionality and drive! I'm inviting you to do the same!

These last couple weeks have been really difficult! I haven't handled it very well, but that's not going to hold me back from being open. The struggle is to only present the best of the best, but that's NOT what this channel was born for. It's to see the good the bad and the not so good. I'm going to always be honest, but I'm still finding the balance for being open. This is the walk I'm on and I'm not going to hide it. It's meant to shine a light and be an example to either follow or avoid! That's your path to choose!
