How to Measure Brand Marketing Success with Peter Giorgi, SVP, Creative Excellence and Brand Experience at Rocket | Ep. 445

Use Prediction Markets to Plan Your 2027 Content | Bathroom Break #127
Marketers are quietly sleeping on one of the biggest data sets out there: prediction markets. Jay explains how Kalshi and Polymarket work like a giant survey on almost any topic, except people are putting real money behind their answers, which makes the results unusually accurate. He also shares the exact prompt to use in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. Tell it your audience, have it search Kalshi and Polymarket for five active, non-political, non-sports markets that signal what that audience will care about in the next 3 to 12 months, then ask for content ideas. He also explains why you should never try to dig through those sites yourself. Daniel explains why now is the perfect time to publish forward-looking 2027 content, and how prediction data lets you pair thought leadership with real numbers you can link out to. The bigger idea is that surveys capture what people say, while money shows what they actually think, so always follow the money. If you're a Marketer who wants to get ahead of what your audience cares about next, this episode is for YOU. How To Nail Local Marketing with with Jena Wolfe, VP of Marketing at Goop Kitchen | Ep. 444
How do you take a brand born in LA and make New Yorkers feel like it was made just for them? Jena Wolfe, VP of Marketing at Goop Kitchen (https://www.goopkitchen.com), has figured it out. Jena started out writing restaurant listings for a New York magazine, spent almost 15 years running her own creative agencies, and is now Goop Kitchen's first-ever VP of Marketing (and her first time on the brand side). Since joining, she's taken the brand from California to New York and opened its very first dine-in location in Del Mar. Daniel and Jena talk about how Goop Kitchen decides what's sacred to the brand, why the menu didn't change one bit for New York, and why the launch campaign cast local icons like the New York Liberty's Jonquel Jones and PR legend Kelly Cutrone instead of chasing the most famous names in the city. Plus, how to pick your moments with a celebrity founder like Gwyneth Paltrow, what changes when a delivery-first brand finally gets a physical space, and the one lesson about local Marketing Jena wishes she'd learned sooner. And her Marketing hill to die on? Take the big, scary swings...because when they pay off, they REALLY pay off. How to Increase Your Landing Page Conversions | Bathroom Break #126
Your landing page is probably leaking visitors, and the fixes are smaller than you think. Jay and Daniel break down how to increase conversions on those pages and offer pages, from the fields you force people to fill out to the button nobody can find. Plus, why every extra must-fill field silently costs you registrants, where to put social proof so it actually does something, and the 1 thing on your page that sends 30% of visitors running for the exit. Plus, a HEATED debate about airplane hygiene and the birth of Jay's new favorite word. If you're a Marketer who wants more conversions without building anything new, this episode is for YOU. Finding Social Creators Before They Blow Up, with Jori Evans, Director of Social at MANSCAPED
If likes don't matter anymore, how do you measure organic social? How do you find great social creators BEFORE they blow up? How do you make a Super Bowl ad about uh, intimate men's grooming, when you can't say "balls" on TV?? Jori Evans, Director of Social at Manscaped, has figured out the answers to a lot of mysteries, and she joined the pod to share her wisdom. Originally aired in January, this episode has everything from how MANSCAPED ran their viral campaigns like "Face Pics vs. D*** Pics," how meme culture drives brand conversions, and what it's like threading the needle between your bold brand voice and STRICT network TV standards...especially if you're hitting the airwaves on the Super Bowl for the first time. Why Marketing Automation Isn’t Marketing Intelligence with Duarte Garrido, Co-Founder of Dojo AI | Ep. 443
Want a reason to be optimistic about the future of Marketing jobs? Duarte Garrido, Co-Founder of DOJO AI, makes a pretty great case for why great Marketers are about to matter more than ever. He ran Marketing for over a decade at giants like Coca-Cola and Sky, then set out to rebuild the broken Martech stack from scratch. He and Daniel talk about the difference between automation and intelligence, why Duarte can smell AI copy from 10 miles away, and why he says everything AI touches becomes a commodity...except this 1 thing it still can't do. If you're a Marketer who wants to use AI without turning your work into slop, this episode is for YOU. Hit follow and leave a rating if this one got your brain going. How AI Is Changing Email, Part 2 | Bathroom Break #125
AI summaries pull an average of just 29 words from your email, so every word in that window counts. Jay's formula for the first 150 to 200 characters is action plus product plus deadline, things like "Shop 40% off all Nike running shoes through Sunday at midnight" or "Register for the 2027 HR compliance briefing by Friday," and testing it is driving a 19% increase in click through rates. Bullet points matter even more: bulleted content gets pulled into AI summaries 77% of the time in Gmail, 84% in Apple Mail, and 92% in Microsoft Copilot. Daniel argues Marketing headlines need to evolve too, since vague hooks like "this is crazy" lose their punch once AI strips away the context. He and Jay also unpack a MediaPost survey showing over 70% of people are comfortable with AI scanning their inbox for deals and recommendations, though Daniel notes businesses are far warier about AI reading emails with internal strategy. The bigger idea: email Marketing is being rebuilt around what AI can actually read, and the prettiest template loses if it's not structured to get pulled into a summary. If you want the exact formulas and formatting Marketers are using to win in AI summaries right now, this is the episode for you.
