The M&N Show #006: An Interview w/ grlfrnds
Welcome back to The M&N Show, where we interview Branson-based band grlfrnds! In light of the atrocious murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and so many other persons of color, as well as the Black Lives Matter movement and protests sweeping the nation, we decided to take an almost two-month break from making our podcast as, frankly, it took a long time for us to feel comfortable uploading the content we  like to make during a time like this, and we wanted to focus our social media platforms on spreading necessary awareness and change. So, while we are back and plan to be uploading more content in the near future, we will not stop advocating for change, and neither should you.  We will be including BLM-related links in the descriptions of all future episodes, and regardless, we hope you are able to sign petitions/donate/share with your friends and family, as change is more important now than ever. Additionally, we hope you enjoy this interview! We had so much fun talking with everyone in grlfrnds, and we think it turned out really  well. They were also gracious enough to do some live performances of  their songs "ride the tide" and "mistymo," which are available on our YouTube channel, as well as our new Soundcloud (!), so if you want to check these out, the links will be included down below. The M&N Show #005: Michael Cera - "true that"
In today's episode of The (irregularly scheduled) M&N Show, we dive into Michael Cera's 2014 album "true that," which is his eclectic, lo-fi mix of instrumentals, interludes, lyrical songs, and a cover of Blaze Foley's "Clay Pigeons." There's something for everyone here (especially since it's impossible to dislike "Clay Pigeons"), so please go check it out for yourself (after the podcast, of course)!

The M&N Show #004: Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 (feat. Destiny Taylor) [Part II]
In Part II of this episode of The M&N Show, we bring on my great friend/Noah's girlfriend Destiny Taylor to talk all things musical theatre, specifically the cast album of the 2017 production of "Natasha,  Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812." It's one of her favorite albums of all time, and it was a pleasure to have her on and discuss it!

The M&N Show #003: An Interview w/ Qired (Deriq Dooley)
Aside from doing our usual album reviews/discussions, Noah and I also want to delve into the world of interviewing local and hopefully bigger musicians, and there was no better place for us to start than with our great friend and extremely talented musician/producer Qired (Deriq Dooley). We talk about his background in music and in general, his eclectic/varied influences in music and art, his process in creating his ever-changing musical projects, his favorite projects to date, and more!  We really appreciate his time (and his friendship, of course), and we hope to do more of these types of videos/interviews in the future! ---- Check out Qired here: https://open.spotify.com/artist/7KF70iik0yxjxTXsFeXn1T?si=6zzITYxkQJOTAbiZyqqSsw https://soundcloud.com/qired https://qired.bandcamp.com/ https://www.instagram.com/qired94/ https://www.facebook.com/qired94

The M&N Show #002.5: An Introduction to Us
We decided to do this little bonus video for The M&N Podcast to give all those at home watching (that’s you!) a proper introduction to us! We discuss our pasts, our present, our future, and of course, mitch juice. Listen through to find out more about what mitch juice really is. Thanks  for tuning into this little show/podcast/experiment, through all the  good and the bad. Stay tuned for an interview with Qired (hopefully)  this Thursday, and hope you stick with us in the weeks to come!

The M&N Show #002: The Worst of J. Cole (feat. Gilly Morals)
[note: apologies for the technical difficulties (glitching on gilly's end, imessage notifications rearing their ugly heads, etc). better quality all around is on its way in upcoming episodes, but for now, we hope you enjoy!] Welcome to The M&N Show, where two bros talk music in any and every way possible, from reviewing the albums with one hit wonders on them to reviewing the worst of popular artists (just like this episode!), and maybe even conducting some interviews with musicians/bands along the way.  In this episode, with special guest Gilly Morals, we tackle KOD, the 2018 album from J. Cole, which, from the averaging of reviews online (Sputnik, Rate Your Music, Album of the Year, Metacritic, Allmusic) has been labeled his worst to date*. Whether or not that is true is up to you, but either way, we go through track-by-track, give our all-around thoughts, and determine whether or not we think it deserves that kind of title. *This podcast is in no way intended to deglorify j.cole Timestamps: 00:00 Opening Remarks 15:14 Intro 20:53 KOD 34:28 Photograph 42:05 The Cut Off (feat. kiLL edward) 49:34 ATM 55:28 Motiv8 01:04:35 Kevin’s Heart 01:15:49 BRACKETS 01:24:55 Once an Addict - Interlude 01:37:08 FRIENDS (feat. kiLL edward) 01:49:15 Window Pain - Outro 01:59:33 1985 - Intro to “The Fall Off” 02:10:46 Closing Remarks

The M&N Show #001: Fountains of Wayne
Welcome to The M&N Show, where two bros talk music in any and every  way possible, from reviewing the albums with one hit wonders on them  (just like this episode!) to reviewing the first and worst of popular  artists, and maybe even conducting some interviews with musicians/bands  along the way.  In honor of Adam Schlesinger, bassist and co-writer of Fountains of  Wayne, who recently passed away due to complications from the COVID-19  virus, we wanted to do our first episode on Welcome Interstate Managers,  the 2003 album from said band, which includes the iconic, albeit one  hit wonder Stacy's Mom. This album contains so many other great songs,  along with amazing production/songwriting/performances, and we wanted to  give it the credit that has been long overdue for.  R.I.P.
