What We We Are Leaving Behind In 2023 ? Part 1 (Letting Go Of The Expectations Of Others ) As we approach the year 2023, it is important to reflect on the aspects of our lives that we want to leave behind. One such thing is the expectations of others. Here are some reasons why we should let go of these expectations: Living up to the expectations of others can be exhausting and draining, both mentally and emotionally. It can lead to anxiety, stress, and a constant feeling of not being good enough. The expectations of others may not align with our own goals and aspirations. When we prioritize the expectations of others over our own desires, we may end up living a life that is not fulfilling or authentic to who we truly are. Trying to meet the expectations of others can also lead to a lack of boundaries. We may find ourselves saying yes to things we don't want to do, just to please others or avoid disappointing them. Letting go of the expectations of others can lead to greater self-awareness and self-acceptance. It allows us to focus on our own needs and wants, and to make decisions based on what is best for us. In summary, leaving behind the expectations of others in 2023 can lead to a more fulfilling and authentic life.
