EP029 - The 3 Pillars of Successful Agents - Interview with Jennifer Seidelman
I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Jennifer Seidelman, Productivity Coach at Keller Williams Realty Professionals. Jen and I talk about the 3 pillars of a successful agent. As Jen puts it, the three most important things that set an agent up for success are mindset, time blocking, and lead generation. I ask Jen some specific questions, all of which she answers thoroughly and insightfully. Questions like: * What does it take for an agent to be successful? * What do you see successful agents doing that others do not? * How can an agent get that drive to keep going forward? * How can we hold ourselves accountable? * What do many agents spend too much time on that they should delegate to others? * How long does it take for an agent to become successful? * Is there a place for million dollar agents and for agents who sell one house a quarter? * What daily habits are critical to an agent's success? * What are the top 3-5 metrics that every agent should track? * Why do so many agents fail? * What is something every agent should start doing from day one and never quit? I really want to thank Jen for her time. This was an amazing episode that even I will come back and listen to again and again. EP028 - Investing in Real Estate as a Realtor (Plus a Couple Crazy Stories) - Interview with Willa Myrman
"The income you'd get off of a flip can be five times what you'd get working as a buyer's agent." This is why Willa invests in real estate and why she recommends other agents do, too. Realtors are in a unique position. We have all of the tools we need to make smart decisions about investing in real estate. And we have the added ability to use our commissions to work for us. And we have the bonus of knowing about potential investments first. It's a pretty great gig. Willa gives us some great insights into how we as agents can start to invest in real estate. Words of warning as well as pro tips.

EP027 - How to Get Real Estate Business from LinkedIn - Interview with Tazz Weatherly
If you listen to GaryVee at all, you'll know that he's been hammering the importance of LinkedIn right now. LinkedIn today is Facebook 2011. Back when organic reach was a thing and businesses had a real chance of standing out and being seen. I had the pleasure of having on Tazz Weatherly, a Realtor® from Boise, Idaho, who gets the majority of her real estate business from LinkedIn. Tazz has grown her real estate business from $0 in 2017 to having over six-figure years in 2018 and 2019 (already). In this week's episode, I talk to Tazz about all sorts of things. Here are some of the highlights: * What Tazz did P.R.E. (pre real estate) * The day the universe told Tazz to go into real estate * What led her to choose LinkedIn as her social media platform of choice * How and why Tazz started using video on LinkedIn * How to handle criticism on social media * When Tazz started getting business from LinkedIn (hint: it was month one) * How Tazz uses LinkedIn Premium to be proactive about reaching out * Why Tazz is her authentic self, even on LinkedIn * When Tazz started to assemble a team to help with content creation * Is LInkedIn right for you? * What is the best way to reach out to people on LinkedIn Tazz is authentic, fun, easy to listen to, and is an open book. She has the right mindset for using social media to get clients (hint: it's a long-term play). Make sure you find Tazz on LinkedIn and YouTube. EP026 - What is a Personal Brand?
Today, it's just you and me, kids, and we are going to talk about… personal brand! Here's the thing: I think personal branding has become one of those buzz terms that gets thrown around a lot but is hard to actually define what people mean when they say it. I mean, lezbehonest, it can cover a lot of different things. Do you actually mean brand identity or do you mean your reputation? Do you mean both? Neither? Today, we're going to take a deep dive into what I think people like Gary Vee and others talk about when they say "personal brand." Here are the questions we ask in today's episode: * What is a personal brand? How do you define it? * How do you build a personal brand? * How do you build a personal brand WITH INTENTION? * What are some other components that make up your personal brand? Hopefully this provides some good insights to you. Remember, I love you all! As per usual, access the show notes on our website at https://luminaryagent.com/podcast/026.

EP025 - Having an Intentional Morning Routine - Interview with Ali Hasenkamp
I had a really hard time coming up with a title for this episode because my guest, Ali Hasenkamp, brings so much wisdom to this week's podcast. Here's a long list of what we touched on: we talk about her background in the fitness industry, how she got into real estate, how she skyrocketed her career to selling over 40 homes in her first 20 months, how she's gone all in in her local community and is reaping the benefits, and how her morning routine has made all the difference in making those 40 transactions happen. Kids, you do not want to miss this episode. Ali is inspirational yet relatable. She's sweet yet sassy. She's an amazing human and you'll love her as much as I love you!

EP024 - Use Instagram and Meetup.com for Your Real Estate Business - Interview with Lily Wyss
Hey podcast peeps! This week’s episode is sooo fun. I had the pleasure of interviewing Lily Wyss about how she’s using Instagram and, as I found out, meetup.com to expand her network, grow her database, and get some bidness. I first came across Lily on Instagram. I love how authentic and fun she is in her feed and in her stories. I was excited to have Lily on the show to talk to her about her experience, especially after she text me and said, "I got an Instagram lead today… this shit works!". This interview was actually our first IRL meeting (that’s In Real Life) and I'm excited to share it with you today! Lily and I talked about how she’s using Instagram authentically to run her business in a way that reflects her values. It's a way for her to show people her true self and it helps people get to know her before they ever meet her. Then she really turned up the heat. She told me how she’s harnessing meetup.com to get out there and meet new people. The coolest part about this (in my opinion) is that she’s going out and doing things she loves to do. She’s having fun while meeting new people. This, in turn, is growing her database and even getting her some real estate leads. I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it. A huge thank you to Lily for her time. Make sure you follow Lily on Instagram at @lilyrayresidential. EP023 - Lessons from Running a 5,600 Person Facebook Group - Interview with Joe Fustolo of Masters in Real Estate
This week’s episode of The Luminary Agent Podcast is the audio version of The Luminary Agent Show on YouTube, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Joe Fustolo of Soldera Properties in Portland, Oregon. Joe is somewhat of a local real estate celebrity here in Portland because he runs a Facebook group called Masters in Real Estate, a local real estate focused group with over 5600 members. It’s safe to say that everyone knows Joe. I sat down with Joe and talked to him about what it’s like to run a Facebook group that large, how things have changed since he initially started running the group, and the lessons he’s learned about our industry as a result of being privy to so many conversations amongst professionals. If you don’t find at least 3 things from this week’s episode that help you, then you must be listening to the podcast on mute. EP022 - “Know Your People, Grow Your Business, Win Your Future” - Why Owner Nick Krautter Started a Brokerage with Purpose
In this week’s episode of The Luminary Agent Podcast, I sit down with real estate brokerage owner Nick Krautter with City and State Real Estate. Nick first got into real estate thinking he would be a part-time agent who could control his schedule and still have time to travel and play music. He quickly learned that he actually loved real estate, and that love took him to a 13 person team doing over $60 million a year in volume. Not only that, Nick’s team still does 80 percent of their business by referral! Nick talks about how important it was for him to set up his database and marketing plan from the start and how his systems have helped him grow that database to over 16,000 people. Nick also said that if he had been better at adding everyone to his database—not just people who needed help immediately—he would have well over 25,000 people (a less to us all)! Nick looked around and noticed that no brokerage was offering what he wanted to offer. So, earlier this year, Nick launched City and State Real Estate, a real estate brokerage in Portland, Oregon with the mantra, “Know Your People, Grow Your Business, Win Your Future.” Nick helps agents setup a database and a marketing plan, helps them put systems and processes in place to grow their business, teaches them business strategies and tax structures, and helps them invest in real estate themselves, setting them up for future success. We also talk about goal setting and how having goals plays into how much work you do and how much money you make. Nick talks about The ONE Thing and thinking about the ONE Thing people can do to grow their business and serve their clients. Also, one of my audio sources cut out halfway through so it gets a little choppy (just for me) toward the end!
