Not loving the format
Each episode feels like a steady build towards an infomercial. I listened to a few hoping for relevant information but everything seems so monetized. I’m never going to purchase this course. Ever. Healthcare should be free and accessible and I’m pretty positive that JDD is making a good enough living outside of this podcast. Why am I getting snake oil vibes from one of the most knowledgable PCOS experts out there? Give the listeners real information without asking for their money.

Good for maintaining ignorance.
Do you live in a world where hard drugs like heroin have taken on a more acceptable form, such as the food that most people eat? Maybe you were wondering how it is that a person can go on consuming these things while still feeling ok about themselves and their actions. It’s certainly easier than resisting. I mean come on. Most likely all of your family and friends are hopelessly involved in these debilitating habits by now. Maybe your own parents are terribly ill and dying but being told to just take their medications and it’ll all be ok. This approach is certainly more profitable for the corporations that profit from it. If you answered yes to any or all of this then this podcast is for you. It will help you stay in deep sleep…

Food Peace…what a beautiful thought
If you’re on contemplating starting or already on your path to “food peace”, or maybe cannot even put those two words side by side yet, this podcast is a great resource of information and encouragement. For those of us with PCOS, Julie is a great resource for that. If you’re trying to take back your life and body from the diet culture machine, this podcast is a must.

Reconnecting with food
Ahhhh the mind games we play with you; food. Good foods, bad foods, healthy foods…I can’t anymore! And to my friends that say, today I’m going to be good or be bad around food; I just can’t. The whole wellness community in disguise makes my skin crawl. We give way too much credit to food. Let’s find PEACE! Thanks for this.

Priceless Resource
Julie Duffy Dillon presents common-sense, compassionate suggestions for ditching diet culture and reclaiming true health and body trust. The format is always interesting, as it presents letters addressed to food from folks just like me. Julie brings on guests with whom she discusses the issues in the letters, and the resultant conversations are always helpful and present a variety of approaches and voices. I never miss an episode, and am grateful to have found this pod!

So valuable!
Every time I listen to this podcast, I walk a way with a powerful tool to learn to use on myself or on my intuitive eating clients. This is such a short and to the point podcast, but it never feels rushed. The host is so empathic and skilled at creating a space where I feel so seen and heard. I can only imagine others feel the same!

An amazing supportive podcast with a host who has a soothing voice
This podcast is a loving, gentle and soothing podcast. It’s also informative and educational. Sometimes when I’m feeling at my worst just relaxing and soothing nature of it can bring me out. The education and answering questions also helps! It is also cool to hear other peoples questions, letters and experiences.

Saved my life
I first wrote “changed” my life as the title, then switched it to SAVED. I wish I would have learned about Julies work sooner, I wasn’t really living until I found her message and community. This podcast is a great partner in the journey of recovery.

So good
This podcast is so important that I’m writing a review - a rare event. Julie is the most inclusive and non-judgmental provider I have encountered. She has inspired my journey to find food peace and I wish I had found her so many years ago before all of the doctors and therapists that condoned and prescribed the restrictive and disordered diets that I am now trying to recover from. I love that she amplifies voices through the letter sharing setup of this podcast and the letter writers are incredibly relatable. And on top of all that Julie’s voice is incredibly soothing.

Anti-Diet Culture
I stumbled upon this podcast which discusses going against the grain of conventional medicine and food, which has been a strong value of mine as a health coach. There are great tips for people living with various chronic conditions and their relationship to food. As an educator to people living with pre diabetes it is so important that I find valuable information of real-life experiences with food restriction and diabetes and how to overcome that and find peace with food. Thank you for the great listens!

Changed My Life
Julie, This podcast has saved me. From diet culture, from my negative family, from my complicated relationship with food. It continues to save me every day. Sometimes I just need to remember something you said in order to know this radical thing I’m doing is okay. Sometimes I just need to hear your voice and I feel reassured, and liberated. Your podcast has made it so much easier to be compassionate with myself and the journey seems so much clearer. I can’t wait for you to publish your book! “We may be heavier now, but we feel lighter than ever.”
