Vampirism transcends human notions of gender, sexuality, and regular human needs. When you become a vampire, you become nothing. Eli expresses this to her new friend Oskar, but how much of a friend can Eli really be to Oskar, as she herself knows that this is her reality. Vampires tales are a dime-a-dozen, but this film is the most unique vampire film we've covered to date. Spoiler; this film is fantastic and so is this discussion. Do not miss it if you're into vampire stuff or looking for a new spin on it.
