Its ok

Why the profanity ???? This is a discussion about fountain pens. One host uses “bull* #@t “ randomly and repeatedly. What a turnoff. That kind of angry and common language just doesn’t belong in a format like this. We’re at the desk ; not in the locker room. Won’t listen to this again. Too much profanity-laced empty chatter—indicative of their lack of actual content.

Such a good podcast. The episode with Jaclyn was hilarious and I literally laughing out loud. John and Kat are hilarious.

I listen to several stationery podcasts. Just discovered this one and it has immediately become my favorite. Great chemistry between the hosts, good information, and achieves their goal of sharing the mood of the fountain pen show after dark.

First I love your podcast, funny, witty, informative, and enjoyable. I do want to thank you for telling me about the podcast because now I have found The Nib Companion and the Nib Section, different focus but still entertaining. I have a client in AR which I drive to and I can listen to you guys for hours. I have even replayed a couple of your episodes. Keep up the great work and look forward to your 2020.

This podcasts is great! The co-hosts have great chemistry and can talk the talk on all things modern fountain pens. They have very little knowledge of vintage, but they do wet their toes with an occasional reference to the tools of the past. Great job on keeping the energy high throughout from beginning to end!

Fountain pens aren’t used by everyone but if you’ve tried one, and it peaked your interest, then this could be a great podcast for you. Here’s a few things I’ve learned over the last few months as I’ve been exploring fountain pens. First, if you buy one you will likely buy many more. Second, the community of fountain pen users is the most helpful and nicest community I’ve come across online. Add in pen shows and pen club/gatherings around the world and you can go from online to virtual world very quickly and find some terrific people. This podcast kind of brings the online and virtual world together. Casual conversation you’ll likely find at most fountain pen gatherings with other like minded people.

These two have nice chemistry and solid information. Once they get past the now-obligatory nod to “language” and disclaimers, they are natural conversationalists and fun informants on all things currently fountain pens. I was a sceptic. Now I’m a friend.

I met John in 2017 at the Ohio Pen Show. Super great guy and I am so glad we met. I recently met Kat online and they have a great show. You should listen.

I too found out about The Leaky Nib by accident listening to The Fountain Pen Companion. I listened to the most recent episode on a neighborhood walk, and found myself laughing out loud. I was also shocked to learn these folks live just up the road from me about 50 miles. Considering the distance to the other fountain pen/stationery/pencil podcasts that I enjoy, 50 miles is like next door. So now I’ll load the rest of their podcasts and get caught up soon. Thanks you two, hope to meet you at the next meetup in February.

I found this podcast by accident, and have been listening faithfully ever since. Who would have thought a discussion of fountain pens could be so entertaining!

This show was recommended me to me while I was attending the 2019 SF Pen Show. The podcast does not disapoint. I listened to episode #3 on the way home and laughed all the way the way there. Kat is sassy and opinionated while John balances that out so the conversation is interesting. John owns/runs Lemur Ink so he is vested in the subject and Kat is a pen enthusiast who is the conversation catalyst who moves things forward. If you enjoy a fun back-and-forth conversation listen to this podcast. You won't be bummed.

But now I am hooked! Newbie to the fountain pen hobby so I thought I would see if any podcasts existed in this world. Surprised to find several but this is the one I come to for both entertainment and pen info. John and Kat are hilarious and excellent complements as hosts. They are absolute greatness!

This is a fun and fresh podcast about all things fountain pen, ink, stationary and assorted ramblings. The hosts have great chemistry! If you like other pen podcasts, you will love this one.

I’ve never been to a pen show, but I have been to my fair share of con’s and this show is exactly the conversation I would expect to hear at any given Pub just outside a pen conference. You know, The overheard conversation that exposes all the things you never knew you didn’t know. It’s a delightful program that I am going to enjoy as often as they will let me.
