BLM movement has been in full force since the tragic death of #GeorgeFloyd. We took some time out with The Training Coordinator for Philadelphia District Attorney's office, Elliot Webster (IG: elzroy_jetson), to discuss what he's doing in the world of social justice and how we can all play our part. It was only right we discussed fatherhood, seeing as though we are all #BoyDads to sons of varying age groups. But not just fatherhood...anyone who has raised a black boy knows there are certain things you tell your child to make sure "they get home safe". We dive pretty deep into understanding that parenting style, and how we can learn from the good & bad of our father figures that molded us into the men we have become. It's pertinent in our society today that we consistently highlight positive black fathers. This week we were honored to have Malcolm (IG:@malcolmlocs) & Newdy (IG: @newdy302) come through and drop some gems regarding their experiences as black fathers. The journey of fatherhood is an everlasting thing and it was great to have individuals who have been exposed to it a little longer than us.
