“A ‘ghost poop’ is a term used to describe when one’s stool sinks to the bottom of the toilet and seemingly vanishes without a trace,” in other words, if you’ve ever gone to the bathroom and then looked into the toilet, only to see your feces disappear, it means that you’ve experienced the elusive “ghost poop” — and the same thing goes if you’ve wiped and there’s nothing on the toilet paper. This type of poop, where you feel like you've passed something, but nothing is visible in the toilet or when wiping, may suggest that you are one of the healthiest individuals out there. It is a sign that your body is receiving adequate amounts of fiber and fatty acids while maintaining proper circadian rhythms aligned with nature. If you don’t find yourself having many — or any — ghost poops, you shouldn’t be alarmed, either. In fact, having ghost poop every day isn’t always ideal, as you are unable to see the changes in your feces if it just disappears all the time. Do you ever look at your poop before you flush? Dr. Oakley & Holly will tell if they do in this episode and you can answer this question on our FB poll on the Lady Bod Pod FB page. Thank you, ladies, for listening. Always feel free to ask Dr. Oakley any women’s health questions at any time. In this episode, Dr. Oakley & Holly will go over some of your questions below: • I’m 23 and a mother of two toddlers. After childbirth I can’t seem to get rid of this smell down there to save my life. I have tried everything… Please help! What is causing my hemorrhoids and rectum to have an odor? • What should I do if I am allergic to condoms? I started swelling up and the burning and itching was just awful!! • Why Am I Dry Down There All of a Sudden? What can you do to treat vaginal dryness? • So, what can you do to solve a problem like... fire pee? UTIs are quite truly, awful. You constantly feel like you need to pee, it burns or hurts when you do, you have pelvic pain… But guess what?! They’re very common. So, yup, everything from sex to douching can cause UTIs. Dr. Oakley also stresses that transposition of fecal matter and hormone changes make you more susceptible to UTIs. PSA: wipe front to back, ladies! Be sure to: • Pee after sex • Stay hydrated. • Pee whenever you must, and make sure you ‘GO’ fully. A big Shout-Out to our fabulous Sponsor UTIVA!!! You can help lower your risk of preventing UTIs. Dr. Oakley loves and recommends Utiva to her patients and she takes it daily. Check it out: https://www.utivahealth.com/ - Her favorite is the Utiva Cranberry PACs: it’s a simple, small, once-a-day pill taken for daily support of the urinary tract to prevent ongoing UTIs. PACs are also the antioxidant of the cranberry and provide other gut health benefits. Love it!! Thank you for listening. Join Dr. Oakley & Holly as we tackle the 'Abominable Snowwoman' phenomenon! Yes, ‘tis the season for our vaginas to hibernate, and they might be feeling the winter blues. From cozying up with a humidifier to offering our vaginas a warm mug of hydration, we're diving into hilarious yet helpful tips to thaw out that chilly dryness. Let's navigate the winter wonderland of vaginal care with laughter and warmth! Yes, changes in weather conditions, particularly cold weather, can affect vaginal moisture for some individuals. It's often related to decreased humidity levels indoors during the winter, which can impact the mucous membranes in the body, including the vagina. This might cause dryness, discomfort, or irritation in some women. Using a humidifier indoors, staying hydrated, wearing breathable clothing, and using lubricants if needed can help manage this. It's always a good idea to consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice if someone is experiencing persistent discomfort or dryness. These discussions can be valuable to address any concerns and find the best solutions for individual needs. There are several treatment options for vaginal dryness. Some, such as vaginal moisturizers or lubricants, are available without a prescription. Dr. Oakley will go over those in this episode. Thank you, ladies, for listening.
