Many of them never knew life without Americans in in their country. It’s been a year since the withdrawal and on this Veterans Day we hear the story of Asma Paigeer who overcome immense fear and uncertainty and put the lives of others ahead of one’s own.Asma Paigeer showed incredible courage as she worked with US Forces to escape the Taliban following the fall of Afghanistan. She not only helped herself but saved the lives of 147 young women and refused to leave without rescuing the 3 that were kidnapped by the Taliban. Her Father worked with US forces for 15 years and they were a visible family in Afghanistan.
