today’s conversation was with the very brilliant @Melissa_lakrib, Melissa is an Algerian English teacher (graduated from ENS) who’s currently majoring as well in political science in the American university in Cairo. Melissa is also the founder of @Algeunesse, an Algerian NGO who works on promoting civil work in the Algerian community. Our talk today was around finding yourself through this sense of engagement in the community and being an active member of society and how this can serve as a way to find fulfillment and happiness in a person’s life. We also shared our thoughts on fear and how sometimes it can stop you from doing a lot of things. We got vulnerable, emotional & most importantly real! Malak Belkacem is an Algerian Makeup influencer & a content creator with over 1M followers on Instagram, this huge platform allowed her to have an amazing community but despite their support, she had to go through a lot of cyber bullying and hate comments along the years. in this episode, Malak shares her personal experience with the entire journey and how a simple comment can mentally feel challenging and draining, especially for younger females as she herself started very young. We discussed how it feels to receive comments like this as I also shared my own personal experience with being cyber bullied back in high school, as well as what you should do and the mindset you should adopt if you ever want to go into social media and the blogging industry. Belkis also shared her own personal story of dieting since the age 9 and how she feels about that.  We also talked about where health falls in the equation and the motives females usually tend to choose to diet for.
