The housing market typically follows a similar trajectory year after year, and the fall 2022 housing market forecast is no different. Housing inventory declines leading up to Labor Day weekend, then increases following the long holiday weekend for about a month. After the initial increase, inventory begins to trickle downwards again as we head into the winter months here in the northeast. If you're a buyer and looking for a home right now, then this next month or so will be your best opportunity to find a home before spring of next year.
