I’m pretty new to the game after not playing it for 10 years so it’s really cool to see all this great content and knowledgeable funny people making it. But!!!!! As a person with an audio engineering background I would really love it if you guys balanced the audio levels better. Shey is always very loud and everyone else is quiet. On several different listens I turn it up to hear and then I’m blasted out a second later. I am just offering constructive criticism but it has not stopped me from binging most of your episodes. Thanks for all that you guys do!

They go a little too easy on EU players but other than that excellent. Best episodes include Aneil and Chris.

Whether it be the the Chris rants, the Shey mispronunciations, or the salt Aneil and Johnny are constantly throwing at each other the show is always entertaining! On a more serious note the show is great for newer and older players trying to elevate their game by helping players better understand the game on a deeper level. I’ve been hooked since the beginning and I always look forward to new episodes coming out! Keep up the great work guys and thanks for all you do for the community!

This podcast is the best L5R podcast around. It's even better than grits, that's how good it is.

Amayzing content! Shay and Company deliver some good advice. Sometimes the sound slips, but otherwise this sits at the top of the L5R 'cast mountain. -tpl

Baby, can't you see I'm calling A guy like you should wear a warning It's dangerous I'm falling There's no escape I can't wait I need a hit Baby, give me it You're dangerous I'm loving it Too high Can't come down Losin' my head Spinnin' 'round and 'round Do you feel me now? Oh, The taste of your lips I'm on a ride You're toxic I'm slippin' under With a taste of a poison paradise I'm addicted to you Don't you know that you're toxic? And I love what you do Don't you know that you're toxic? It's getting late To give you up I took a sip From my devil's cup Slowly, it's taking over me Too high Can't come down It's in the air and it's all around Can you feel me now? Oh, Taste of your lips I'm on a ride You're toxic I'm slippin' under With the taste of a poison paradise I'm addicted to you Don't you know that you're toxic? And I love what you do Don't you know that you're toxic? Don't you know that you're toxic? Taste of your lips I'm on a ride You're toxic I'm slippin' under With a taste of a poison paradise I'm addicted to you Don't you know that you're toxic? With the taste of your lips I'm on a ride You're toxic I'm slippin' under With a taste of the poison paradise I'm addicted to you Don't you know that you're toxic? Intoxicate me now With your lovin' now I think I'm ready now I think I'm ready now Intoxicate me now With your lovin' now I think I'm ready now

Great show entertaining and informative!

This podcast is consistent with weekly content. The speakers kind of have big heads but they back it up with tournament results. The main guy, Shay, is a good balancing of receiving and asking insightful questions and the more knowledgeable speakers can explain. They sometimes use short hand and acronyms that can be confusing but then explain at a later time. I suggest this podcast for a good baseline information on the game.

The Jade Throne is one of best podcasts out there for anyone interested in l5r competitive play. Host Shey is joined by a rotating cast of players, all of whom have their competitive bonafides (most are hatamoto and top players from the Kotei circuit, several are kotei winers, etc.). They discuss everything from deck building to play strategy to tournament strategy, do card analysis, speculate on upcoming products, etc. Audio can be a little inconsistent, which is irritating, but is fairly typical of most home-brew podcasts. Check it out.

One of the most entertaining L5R podcasts for the LCG. Usual cast is full of different personalities and varying ideas about the game which leads to good conversation about all levels of play. You can also rely on a release coming frequently and the fellows keep it current with discussions about FFG articles, new releases, tournament results and personal experiences. If I had another hand I’d give it three thumbs up!

Each week I look forward to hearing what these guys have to say about L5R. I’ve gone from completely scrub tier to merely incompetent and jade throne had a large part in that improvement. Five stars are mostly because they begged for it in episode 70, though.

Had to do it

People with smart decks and winning records telling people how to have fun and be less bad? I like these dudes. Never boring.

Competitive analysis of play style, cards, decks, etc. Great content and interesting discussion/delivery.

People telling winning decks how they are bad decks? I don’t like those cards in your deck that are beating me! Boring.

Really enjoy the content of the podcast, but I’ve found the audio is recorded at a pretty low level and the speakers audio levels aren’t balanced. Easily 5 stars if that’s remedied

Once the new LCG was announced, I knew there would be a great podcast where i can hear other peoples' points of view. The guys don't disappoint. I can't wait to be a long time listener to this group. Thanks for the amazing show. Alex Murphy
