Episode 48 is here and for today's episode, we take a deep dive into Bell Let's Talk.If you want to get into the actual episode content, fast forward to 18 minutes, because we missed doing check ins and got a little carried away. For check in Jo tells us about the struggles of being a woman and her time of the month and we all share in her woes. Moving into the episode, Linda, B, and Jo take time to reflect on the campaign by Bell called Bell Let's Talk. We spend time exploring both the pros and cons of this campaign, the missing stories and experiences excluded from this campaign (from other mental health issues to shinning a light on POC stories in Canada and the realities they face), and in our VERY humble opinion, where the campaign should have focused more. We strongly believe that breaking stigma's around mental health is so important, but reflect on how capitalism can take away from it's value and the intentions behind campaigns like this one. We hope you enjoyed today's episode and please remember that if you are every struggling check out this resource for more information on how to get help https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/amh/page16759.aspx OR call 780-482-4357 (HELP)
